Growing with the Scriptures is an LDS based podcast for young children and families who want to help them know and love the Book of Mormon. As a mom of four boys, my hope is to make Book of Mormon stories simple, engaging, and meaningful so little ones can understand them, remember them, and come to love Jesus Christ through them. Each episode is designed to help children build a foundation of faith, develop a love for the scriptures, and begin growing their own testimonies—one Book of Mormon story at a time.

    1 Nephi 7: Nephi chooses to Forgive

    Nephi and his brothers face another difficult journey—and this time, things get really hard between them. When Nephi is treated badly, he chooses to forgive and trust Heavenly Father. In this episode, kids will learn that even when someone hurts our feelings, we can choose to forgive, pray for help, and keep following Jesus Christ.

    1 Nephi 5: Sariah Learns to Trust Heavenly Father

    In this episode, we’ll learn about Sariah and what happened when her sons were sent back to Jerusalem to get the brass plates. As she waited and worried about her boys, Sariah learned to trust the Heavenly Father and have faith that He would help her family.

    1 Nephi 3-4: The Brass Plates

    In this episode, we’ll follow Nephi and his brothers as they return to Jerusalem to get the brass plates. They try more than once, and things don’t go as planned—but Nephi keeps going and trusts that Heavenly Father will help them.

    1 Nephi 3: "I Will Go and Do"

    In this episode, Lehi’s sons are asked to return to Jerusalem to get the brass plates. We’ll learn how Nephi chooses to trust the Lord and says, “I will go and do,” even when the task seems hard.

    1 Nephi 2: Nephi Learns to Trust Heavenly Father

    In this episode, Lehi’s family leaves Jerusalem and begins their journey into the wilderness. We’ll learn from Nephi how prayer can help us know that Heavenly Father is guiding us, even when we have to do hard things.

    1 Nephi 1: Lehi Prays and Sees a Vision

    In this episode, we’ll read about Lehi’s prayer and the vision he received from Heavenly Father. We’ll learn that even when something is hard, we can pray, listen, and trust Heavenly Father to help us.
