Rock Bottom Revival Podcast Episode 19

ROCK BOTTOM REVIVAL — EPISODE 19Recovering in the Family & as the Family — Part 3 Recovery doesn’t happen to just one person. Addiction can affect an entire family and when recovery begins, everyone may have something of their own to heal from. In Episode 19, Bethany and Tammy continue their Recovery Month conversation about recovering in the family AND as the family, bringing both sides of the experience to the table with no judgment and only respect. Bethany shares from the perspective of lived experience with addiction and recovery while Tammy brings the perspective of a family member who has loved and walked alongside people struggling with addiction and in recovery. This week we dig deeper into what happens after recovery begins—when the person changing may be ready to move forward, but the people who love them are still carrying fear, hurt and memories of what happened before. We talk about accountability without living forever in shame, the difference between understanding behavior and excusing it, supporting someone without doing the work for them and why every person in a family may heal at a different pace. And we begin one of the biggest conversations of all: TRUST. How do you rebuild something that may have been broken over and over again? What does it feel like when you know you're changing but the people around you still don't trust you? And what does it feel like for the family member who desperately wants to believe things are different but is afraid to let their guard down? We didn't finish that conversation—and we're not rushing it. Next week, we're picking right back up with TRUST. Because sometimes everyone was standing in the same fire they were just standing in different places. Rock Bottom Revival — Ryzing from the AshesReal experiences. Real conversations. No judgment. Rock Bottom Revival Episode 18

🔥 ROCK BOTTOM REVIVAL — EPISODE 19 🔥RECOVERING AS A FAMILY: Building a Healthier Tomorrow Together Recovery Month continues and so does our conversation about something that doesn’t get talked about nearly enough: What does recovery look like for the whole family? In Episodes 17 and 18, we dug into both sides of addiction in the family — the perspective of the person struggling with addiction and the perspective of the people who love them. We talked about the hurt, fear, guilt, resentment, boundaries and the reality that recovery doesn’t automatically erase what happened. For Episode 19, we’re taking the next step. Now that we understand more about what everyone has been carrying… how do we actually move forward? Bethany and Tammy are bringing their different lived perspectives back to the table as we talk about what it takes to create healthier family relationships after addiction has changed the family dynamic. We’re getting into boundaries, rebuilding trust, communication, support, accountability and breaking unhealthy or generational patterns — but we’re also talking about something just as important: You don’t have to recreate the family you had before addiction. You can build something healthier than what existed before. Recovery doesn’t mean forgetting the past.Healing doesn’t mean pretending nobody got hurt.Forgiveness doesn’t automatically mean trust. And boundaries don’t mean you stopped loving someone. Sometimes family recovery means learning an entirely new way to love each other. 🖤 Skills that actually help🔥 Unfiltered real conversations🦋 Stronger families and healthier patterns💜 Hope for everyone affected by addiction Whether you’re in recovery yourself, love someone who is, grew up in a family affected by addiction or are trying to break patterns you never want to pass down — this conversation is for you. 📅 Tuesday, September 22, 2026⏰ 7:00 PM CST🔴 LIVE in the Rock Bottom Revival Facebook Group Rock Bottom Revival — Ryzing from the Ashes. 💜 Healing is possible. Recovery is possible. And a healthier tomorrow can be built together.
