Hello K-Drama Lovers! My name is Manal, and I am a K-Drama lover! I am also a therapist, and I only share this because it influences how I watch K-Dramas, not to label myself as an expert. I am just another flawed human being trying to figure out life like everyone else. K-Dramas have helped me understand myself better, and they also make me want to be a better human being. I also know that I'll never truly understand the depth of these stories because I am not Korean, but I do want to share my appreciation and how K-Dramas touch my heart.     My Reflections On: A Love Other Than Yours

    Hello K-Drama Lovers!I know this drama has us divided right now. I have really enjoyed watching this drama so far. Seo Kang-Joon and Ahn Eun-Jin are doing an amazing job of playing complex and flawed characters. Here, I share my reflections on the first 10 episodes. I really do wish all of them - Mido, Namguung, Tae-Seung, and Su-A - healing and happiness. They've forced me to look more deeply into my own relationships, especially the one I have with myself.I hope you enjoy this one.

    Four Hands Two Sonatas: What's Running Your Life?

    Hello K-Drama Lovers!In this video, I share my reflections on the masterpiece Four Hands, Two Sonatas.One thing that struck me about this K-Drama is how it showed what can happen when we don't address unprocessed memories that hold a lot of pain. This keeps us stuck from living fully in the present, and the past runs our life without us really knowing.Sometimes, the unprocessed memory is obvious, like with Jeong-Yo. But with Pi-O, it took some time to find that memory and comfort and heal himself. What's running our life doesn't always have to come from our childhood either, as we saw with the mom. The pain of feeling rejected and abandoned by her father left a deep wound that was left on the young shoulders of Pi-O to heal.When we finally make the link between our present triggers and the earliest memories and what it says about us, we can finally begin unburdening ourselves from the past and, like Pi-O, find healing and purpose in the present.I also take you through a short exercise that can help you keep a record of your triggers called TICES and how you can use this information to find where it all started.
