Oh Shit! I'm 50

Adrianne Frost

Getting older is not for the faint of heart — but it sure makes for great conversation. Your host, Adrianne Frost (Late Night With Conan O'Brien, Best Week Ever, all those Law And Orders ) and 2 fearless storytellers, all over 50, reflect on those real problems the over-50 set deal with on a second by second basis. It's honest, funny, and, most of all, real! Nothing is sugar coated, nothing is off-limits. Whether you're 50, 60, or rockin’ 70+ — this is your place. Do our problems always get solved? Nope! 'Cause that's the way life is... but we have a great time talking about it. It's not a "feel good" podcast, it's a "feel real" podcast. Bring your reading glasses and come on in to Oh Shit! I'm 50. Oh Shit! I Forgot to Get Revenge!

Sometimes revenge is a dish best served with a side of stories, so you get a little laughter and wisdom thrown in for good measure. Adrianne, Sandi Marx and Carol Scudder talk about the art of revenge. It could mean lighting a fire to burn those love letters and cry a river or dancing a ritual to make them pay once and for all? Let's hope that voodoo that they do works pretty well.  Sandi Marx is a fixture on the New York storytelling scene. She has appeared on PBS’ Stories From The Stage, Two Truths and A Lie, Generation Women and more, and is a seven-time Moth Story SLAM champion. Her book, Slightly above Average: Memoirs of a Successful Village Idiot, is available wherever you buy books. She's a retired talent agent and happy grandma and mom currently living in Connecticut. And Sandy can be heard on a multitude of podcasts such as Risk, Story Collider, and many more.   Carol Scudder is a New York City based actor whose work spans film, television, theater, and comedy. Her films include The Sun Is Also a Star and  television includes Go Ahead Make My Dinner and The Sopranos. She's performed in The Extremists at the Assemble Roxy Edinburgh Fringe, Head Games, Ars Nova, and IO West, and numerous productions at venues including 78th Street Theater Lab, Northern Stage, and Here Center for the Arts. Carol has also appeared in multiple national and regional commercials, as well as storytelling and stand-up on stages such as BAM, Eastville Comedy Club, Climat Lounge, QED, Stand Up New York, and East Village Comedy Club.  WARNING: THIS EPISODE CONTAINS MENTION OF SEXUAL ABUSE Support the show This episode was recorded July, 2025.

Oh Shit! I Forgot To Conquer The World!

Who didn't want to be all that they could be when they grew up? A fireman, a doctor, a teacher, a movie star... practicing Oscar speeches in front of the mirror or saving people from burning buildings, or both! Host Adrianne Frost, Rita Rigano (The Moth, Generation Women) and Jude Treder-Wolff (Stories From The Stage, Improv In Real Life) talk about the dreams they had, the ones that got left behind and the ones they held onto and (maybe?) finally made come true! Well, perhaps not the fireman part... or the Oscar part. DAMNITT! A dream is a wish your heart makes... yeah, tell that to my mortgage and kids. Rita Rigano is a NYC based storyteller. She's performed at New Tricks, Generation Woman, Story Collider, The Moth, Impossible NY Stories, and many others. You can also hear her on the Story Collider and No Name NYC podcasts.
