Becoming Wealth

Jessie Cae and Dr. Shadow Mike

Becoming Wealth is a weekly conversation between Jessie Cae and Dr. Shadow Mike about what money reveals when you actually look at it instead of through it. Drawing on astrology, depth psychology, shadow work, and their own uncomfortable histories with scarcity, worth, and boundaries, Jess and Mike dig into the archetypes running underneath how you earn, spend, hoard, and give. Becoming wealthy was never the goal. The goal is becoming someone capable of holding more, staying whole while you do it, and building a life that doesn't require you to disappear to afford it.

Why You're Stuck Between Dreaming and Doing | Mars & Money

What if the reason you're not creating the life you desire isn't a lack of ambition, but an inability to choose? Mars is traditionally the god of war, but beneath the aggression lies an archetype of action, sovereignty, protection, and the courage to bring desire into physical reality. In this episode of Becoming Wealth, Jessie Cae and Dr. Michael Simmons explore the relationship between Mars and Venus, the uncomfortable space between potential and manifestation, and the surprising ways scarcity can disguise itself as limitless possibility. Through astrology, tarot, mythology, shadow work, and personal experiences, we examine what happens when we confuse constant movement with aligned action. In this episode, we explore: The messy middle: Why the journey between inspiration and manifestation is where transformation actually happens. Mars and Venus: The relationship between desire, intentional action, and the ability to receive. The shadow of limitlessness: How scarcity can convince us that we must pursue every opportunity before it disappears. The Two of Wands, Ten of Wands & Tower: Choosing a direction, recognizing overwhelm, and releasing identities we've outgrown. The courage to charge: Why spiritual entrepreneurs often struggle with pricing, overgiving, and the fear of becoming exploitative. Avoidant, aggressive & integrated Mars: Three different ways we approach money, boundaries, and personal power. From warrior to steward: How the Mars archetype invites us to examine whether we're cultivating what we have or constantly conquering more. Shadow work in real life: Why healing isn't about never being triggered, but how we respond, repair, and return to alignment. We also explore Mars in the natal chart, the courage to change your mind, and why taking action doesn't always mean pushing harder. The question isn't whether you're capable of doing everything. It's whether you're willing to choose what actually matters. Saturn, Money & the Architecture of Enough

What if the very structures you've built to protect yourself are preventing you from experiencing the wealth you're calling in? In this episode of Becoming Wealth, Jessie and Mike explore Saturn through Greek and Roman mythology, Jungian psychology, astrology and tarot, asking what it really means to have the capacity to hold more. Beginning with Cronus, the god who swallowed his children to prevent his own downfall, they examine how fear can turn protection into control. But in Roman mythology, Saturn becomes associated with cultivation, agriculture and a Golden Age, offering another perspective on structure, discipline and abundance. The conversation moves from mythology into real life, exploring inherited money beliefs, family dynamics, manifestation, nervous-system capacity and the difference between accumulating wealth and intentionally investing it. Jessie shares how she's learning to create the structure her business needs without sacrificing her creativity. Mike opens up about his father's relationship with money and inheritance, and how those experiences shaped his own tendency to overperform safety. In this episode: • Cronus and Saturn: control, downfall and cultivation. • How we can become the very thing we judge in others. • Why expansion requires structure and freedom. • The unconscious beliefs shaping our relationship with money. • Inherited financial wounds and the fear of loss. • Why your reason for wanting wealth matters. • Investing in your future, environment, relationships and yourself. • The Devil and the World tarot cards. • Taking action without external permission. Can you create enough structure to hold what you're calling in while surrendering what was never yours to control?

    The Wealth Wound

What if becoming wealthy has less to do with how much money you have and more to do with who you become capable of being? In the first episode of Becoming Wealth, Jessie Cae and Dr. Shadow Mike explore money as a mirror: a physical expression of our relationships with worth, safety, scarcity, power, generosity, receiving, boundaries, and self-agency. They unpack the money stories they inherited, from bankruptcy and financial instability to immigration, ownership, over-giving, spiritual martyrdom, and the belief that having more makes us worth more. But the conversation moves beyond simply developing an “abundance mindset.” Because you can have millions and still operate from scarcity. You can earn very little and experience abundance. You can give generously while unconsciously abandoning yourself. And you can manifest more without developing the capacity to actually hold what arrives. In this episode: • Why money acts as a mirror for worth, safety, and agency• The unconscious money stories we inherit before we can even name them• Why spiritual communities can develop complicated relationships with charging money• The shadow side of generosity and giving everything away• How over-giving can create dependency rather than empowerment• Why scarcity isn't determined by the amount of money you have• The problem with scarcity-based marketing• Why abundance requires boundaries• What happens when your nervous system hasn't developed the capacity to hold more• The difference between having wealth and becoming wealth• Why your actions, not your affirmations, reveal what you actually believe Becoming Wealth isn't about worshipping money or rejecting it. It's about looking through it. Because perhaps the most revealing question isn't “How do I make more money?” It's: Who would I have to become to hold more without losing myself?
