Stop Chasing Birdies (How Philly Won by 4)

Philly shot 76 on Saturday at the Nye County Amateur at Mountain Falls, his worst tournament score in years, and he didn't want to play Sunday. He played anyway. Dad took over the strategy with three rules: commit to the draw, hit the right quadrant of the green, and trust the putter. Sunday he shot 70, two under, and won by four. Also this week: the Internet Invitational field and Rangefinder Gate, a guy in our Friday game who drove ahead and moved his ball, what's working on GCL socials, Mom going back to back at Pebble 7, GCL swag on the way, Austin Smotherman winning twice in a row, and why Philly is done chasing birdies.
