Episode Four

Ecosystem Effect | Episode 4: Building the Next Generation of Leaders In this episode, Anil Saxena talks with Meg Paul, a San Jose State University junior and campus ambassador for the ServiceNow ecosystem. Recommended by a professor, Meg has leveraged her leadership experience to build connections between students and the ServiceNow platform. She's organized panels with recent SJSU graduates working at ServiceNow, hosted workshops with student groups, and shown peers that ServiceNow skills open diverse career paths—not just traditional tech roles. Meg is also interning at EY this summer in tech risk, attending Knowledge in May for the hackathon, and thinking deeply about how AI and automation are reshaping business. In her conversation with Anil, they emphasize that the most valuable skills moving forward are adaptability, relationship-building, and creativity—since AI doesn't create new things, people do. ServiceNow's role is to free people from routine work so they can focus on problem-solving and collaboration. Episode Three

Ecosystem Effect | Episode 3: Training with Real-World Impact In this episode, Anil Saxena sits down with Carsten Thiele, a leading ITSM trainer and eight-year ServiceNow partner. Carsten's journey began in 2012 as a customer, then moved into consulting and training. Drawing from years of real implementation experience, he brings practical examples and lessons learned into every training, working alongside four other ITSM trainers to deliver authentic, applicable knowledge. Carsten's secret to engaging training? He makes it fun. Animated timers, friendly competitions, and a welcoming environment where students learn from each other. Over seven years, he's trained thousands—many who return specifically for his courses. His philosophy: balance knowledge with entertainment. As ServiceNow evolves—from Flow Designer to Workflow Studio—Carsten's biggest focus now is AI and data quality. Good data is essential for AI to work effectively, so he advocates for investments in CMDB quality and better incident documentation. His message: ServiceNow is a strategic platform, not just a ticketing tool. Connect with Carsten on LinkedIn, book a course through ServiceNow University, or meet him at Knowledge Conference in Las Vegas.

Episode Two

Ecosystem Effect | Episode 2: Blended Learning That Works In this episode, Anil Saxena talks with Lojaine Arabi from Lumify Digital about Jumpstart, a blended learning program that solves a real problem: people skip self-paced courses. Jumpstart combines ServiceNow's on-demand content with structured accountability—learners work through modules independently but meet weekly with an experienced trainer. The result? Actual completion rates and certified professionals. The program is working. Lumify's second cohort has nearly 40 learners, with some already ready for certification. Research shows 70–90% of people prefer this hybrid approach over standalone training, which has only a 10–20% completion rate. Lumify's trainers bring real implementation experience—they can explain not just theory, but how ServiceNow works on actual customer projects. The next cohort launches in June. Episode One

In this inaugural episode, Anil Saxena introduces the Ecosystem Effect podcast and the mission behind it: ServiceNow University's commitment to reach 3 million learners by 2027. But as Anil explains, this goal can't be achieved alone. It takes an entire ecosystem—training partners running hundreds of classes across six continents, academic institutions building talent pipelines, instructors teaching in classrooms around the world, students taking a leap into new careers, and innovators using AI to make learning faster and more accessible. The podcast is a celebration of these people and their stories. Rather than a ServiceNow marketing vehicle, Ecosystem Effect will feature real conversations with partners who've trained hundreds of students, academic leaders building programs, instructors making a difference on the ground, student leaders, and members of the ServiceNow University team. Some episodes will dive into scaling challenges—how do you grow from 10 classes to 100? Others will explore blended learning innovation and what actually works (and doesn't work) when building something that matters. If you're a training partner, instructor, student, or anyone invested in building talent at scale, Anil welcomes you to tune. And if you have a guest suggestion or want to join the ServiceNow revolution, head to servicenow.com/learning to get started.
