    Zeal for His Father's House

Any Feedback or Questions? Feel free to Message me! Tables flipping in the temple isn’t a side note in John’s Gospel, it’s a spotlight on what happens when worship gets crowded out by convenience, profit, and routine. We’re staying in John 2, but the scene shifts fast from a wedding celebration to Jerusalem at Passover, where the temple should be marked by prayer, sacrifice, and reverence. Instead, Jesus walks into a marketplace, and His response is forceful, intentional, and deeply revealing about God’s holiness.  We break down what’s actually happening in the temple courts, why the presence of animals and money changers isn’t automatically the point, and what Jesus is confronting when He says, “Do not make my Father’s house into a house of trade.” From there, we bring it closer to home: how easy it is for church to become a performance we attend, a social habit we maintain, or a routine that never reaches the heart. We ask the uncomfortable but necessary questions about Christian worship, hypocrisy, and the difference between knowing about Jesus and truly following Him with obedience and repentance.  Then we get to the moment that changes everything. When the authorities demand a sign for His actions, Jesus points forward to the ultimate sign: “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” John makes it clear He’s talking about His body and the resurrection, reminding us that our faith isn’t built on a building, a style, or a tradition, but on Jesus Christ crucified and risen. The First Sign

Any Feedback or Questions? Feel free to Message me! A wedding in Cana, an unexpected problem, and a miracle that reveals more about Jesus than meets the eye. In John 2:1–12, the wine runs out, Mary brings the situation to Jesus, and Jesus gives instructions that probably don’t make much sense to the servants at first. But when they obey, Jesus turns water into wine, revealing His glory and strengthening the faith of His disciples. This first sign reminds us that Jesus can work in ways we don't expect, even in ordinary moments that seem insignificant. From there, we look at what this story teaches us about trusting God before we understand what He’s doing. The servants had no reason to expect that filling jars with water would solve a shortage of wine, but they followed Jesus’ instructions anyway. Sometimes faith looks like taking the next step even when we can't see the whole picture. Whether we're facing uncertainty, waiting for answers, or struggling to let go of control, this passage challenges us to trust Jesus instead of demanding that everything make sense first. The deeper question is whether we’re willing to obey Jesus even when His instructions don't match our expectations. We talk about what it means to trust Him in the middle of uncertainty, recognize His work in everyday life, and look beyond the miracle to the One performing it. We end with practical questions to consider: am I trusting Jesus even when I don't understand, am I willing to obey before I see the outcome, and am I paying attention to what His work reveals about who He is? Come And See

Any Feedback or Questions? Feel free to Message me! Curiosity, doubt, and real faith collide in John 1:35–51, and the turning point is almost shockingly simple: Jesus says, “Come and you will see.” I walk through the moment John the Baptist points to Jesus as the Lamb of God, and two disciples stop watching from a distance and start following. That shift matters, because discipleship isn’t mainly about collecting Bible facts. It’s about coming to Jesus, spending time with Him, and letting that relationship change what you want and how you live. From there, the passage becomes a blueprint for everyday evangelism and relational discipleship. Andrew meets Jesus and immediately brings his brother Simon to Him, no polished speech required. Philip does the same with Nathanael, and we get one of the most honest lines in the Gospel of John: “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Instead of arguing, Philip gives a calm, confident invitation: come and see. If you’ve ever felt nervous about sharing your faith, or worried you don’t know enough to talk about Jesus, this is the encouragement you need. The most personal moment lands when Jesus reveals He already knows Nathanael, and Nathanael realizes he’s standing before someone who sees straight through him. Jesus knows what we show people and what we hide, and He still says, “Follow me.” We end with practical questions to sit with: have I truly encountered Jesus, what do I do with my doubts, and am I actually following Him day by day? If this helped you, subscribe to the Narrow Path Podcast, share the episode with a friend, and leave a review so more people can come and see.
