Roadmaps and Breadcrumbs

Neidy Lozada

Roadmaps and Breadcrumbs is a conversation series about purpose, work, and legacy. Neidy Lozada talks with women entrepreneurs about the work they chose to build, the decisions and experiences that shaped it, and the people whose influence still appears in how they lead, create, and choose. The conversations look beyond the visible business to the person behind it: what formed her judgment, what she has questioned or changed, and what she is deliberately creating through her work and her life. Three questions anchor the series: Who made you? What conscious steps are you taking today to build the legacy you want? Fifty or one hundred years from now, what stories will be told about you? Solo episodes extend the same inquiry through Neidy’s reflections on purpose, work, authorship, and legacy. Hosted by Neidy Lozada, transformational strategist and founder of Soulful Sojourners.

You Can’t Heal in the Same Environment That Hurt You with Eileen Murphy

What happens when the environment you are trying to survive is also the environment keeping you from recovering? In this episode of Roadmaps and Breadcrumbs, I sit with Eileen Murphy, founder of Blackbird Life Coaching, for a conversation about work, burnout, career change, and the moment when endurance stops being enough. Eileen reflects on the experiences that shaped her relationship with work, the pressures we learn to normalize, and what becomes possible when we stop asking only how to cope and begin examining the conditions themselves. Our conversation moves beyond burnout as an individual problem and into questions of responsibility, environment, identity, choice, and the recognition that sometimes recovery requires more than learning how to function inside the same conditions. Along the way, we follow the roadmaps Eileen inherited, the breadcrumbs that became clearer with distance, and the experiences that ultimately changed the direction of her work. You Can’t Heal in the Same Environment That Hurt You is a conversation about recognizing what an environment is costing you, listening to what your experience is already telling you, and deciding what you are willing to carry forward. Share Your Thoughts Thank you for listening. I hope today's conversation gives you something worth thinking about after the episode ends. A question. A recognition. A thought worth returning to when you have the distance to hear it differently. Responsibility Is a Form of Power with Charley Zheng

What changes when we stop treating responsibility as a burden and begin recognizing it as a form of power? In this episode of Roadmaps and Breadcrumbs, I sit with Charley Zheng, founder and steward of The Keep, for a conversation about intuition, embodiment, agency, and the choices that shape a life. Charley shares how her years in corporate strategy gave way to a spiritual awakening that changed the way she understood herself and her direction. Together, we explore the body as a source of information, the role of somatic awareness in decision-making, the discomfort of transition, and what it means to participate fully in the creation of your own life. Our conversation also turns toward lineage, including the influence of Charley’s mother and grandmother, and toward the legacy she hopes to build through compassion, curiosity, play, and a willingness to stay present with the full range of human experience. Who Made Me?: The Story Behind Roadmaps and Breadcrumbs

Before there were roadmaps, there were people. In the first episode of Roadmaps and Breadcrumbs, I begin with the question I will eventually ask every guest: Who made you? My answer leads me back to my mother, to Mamá Socorro, my paternal grandmother, to Puerto Rico in the 1960s and 70s, and to the ordinary details that stayed with me long before I understood their meaning. A kitchen with almost no salt. Jasmine outside a house. Hours spent sitting beside someone I simply loved being near. Those memories became breadcrumbs. From there, I look at the roadmaps I inherited, the ones I questioned, and the ones I eventually created for myself. I also talk about the world I am living in now, why silence began to feel different to me, and why I wanted a public place for conversations about history, work, responsibility, authorship, and legacy. Season One, What Women Carry Forward, brings together women who have built companies, projects, ventures, bodies of work, and meaningful paths of their own. We begin with the person behind the visible work. We look at what shaped her, what she inherited, what changed her direction, what experience has made visible, and what she intends to do with what she knows now. The solo episodes will make room for the questions that deserve more time. This first episode is where I begin by answering some of those questions myself.
