Still Called

Alya Moody

Still Called is a podcast for Christian women who love Jesus and yet sometimes wonder if their purpose has faded. As seasons change, roles shift, children grow, bodies change, and people need us differently than they used to, many women begin to feel less needed or unsure of what their calling looks like now. This podcast is a gentle but clear reminder that God’s calling does not expire. It is not limited to the big or dramatic things, and it does not disappear when certain roles change or never come. We are still called — to belong to Him, to love Him, and to walk in everyday faithfulness and worship right where we are. Host Alya speaks honestly about midlife, identity in Christ, and learning to stop separating faith from the practical care of our bodies. Drawing from Scripture, she explores what it means to treat our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit and to steward nourishment, movement, rest, and stress as part of answering God’s call. Episodes also touch on ordinary faithfulness, rewriting the lies we tell ourselves, resisting comparison, and finding purpose in the quieter years. If you are a woman who wants to keep living purposefully, healthily, and worshipfully in the season you are actually in — without striving and without giving up — you are welcome here. Still Called. Because His call on your life remains.

Still Called to Your Own Path

Still Called to Your Own Path Hey friend, Today we’re talking about comparison — that quiet habit of measuring ourselves against other women: their bodies, their homes, their energy, their marriages, their children’s progress, or the highlight reels we see online. We look closely at the moment in John 21 when Peter turns and asks Jesus about John: “Lord, what about this man?” Jesus answers simply and firmly: “What is that to you? You follow Me.” That same answer still speaks to every Christian woman who has ever looked sideways and wondered why her path looks different. In this episode we explore the three heavy things comparison can grow in our hearts: • Discouragement • Envy and bitterness • Pride We’ll look at what each one actually feels like in daily life, what Scripture says about them, and how we can step out of them and back onto the unique path Jesus has marked out for us. I also share honestly how comparison still shows up in my own life — and the simple ways the Lord keeps bringing me back to stewardship, gratitude, and the next faithful step. At the end you’ll find a short, practical homework with three writing-and-prayer steps. Free resource: I’ve also created a free 5-day companion devotional that walks with you through this topic more slowly. You can download it right here: https://stillcalled.live/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Still_Called_to_your_Own_Path_devotional.pdf Print it out or save it on your phone and use it as a gentle guide to return your heart to Jesus and stay on the path He has given you. You are still called. Not to someone else’s path. Not to someone else’s timeline. You are still called to follow Jesus on the unique road He has given you. Still learning beside you, Alya

    Still Called to Move

What if moving your body isn’t mainly about fitness goals… but about staying able to serve and do the things God has given you to do? In this episode we talk about movement as one practical way we care for the body God designed and called a temple of the Holy Spirit. From the beginning, God created us to be active — to work, to lift, to take care of what He placed under our responsibility. Today, modern comforts have made it easy to move far less than our bodies were made for. We look at how dramatically daily steps have declined over the last 50–100 years, why strength training matters especially for women after 40, and how intentional movement supports not only our bodies but also our mood, clarity, and ability to stay present. We also talk about the difference between chasing numbers on the scale and taking faithful steps as an act of worship and stewardship. You’ll hear a simple, doable way to begin this week — noticing your current steps and adding a little more, plus starting a short strength practice with just a few basic exercises. If you’ve been feeling less able, more tired, or unsure where to start, this episode is a gentle invitation to move again — not for perfection, but so you can keep serving longer and remain a blessing in the season you’re in. You are still called. Workout Plan Page A straightforward five-move strength plan designed for women. It includes clear instructions and form cues for the Squat, Bent-Over Row, Dumbbell Shoulder Press, Reverse Lunge, and High-Knee March, plus three ready-to-use levels—Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced—so you can start where you are and build from there. Rest 60–180 seconds between sets. Simple, consistent strength work that helps you stay able to answer the call. https://stillcalled.live/?sdm_process_download=1&download_id=12 Mentioned episodes: Ep.001 Still Called (Introduction) https://rss.com/podcasts/still-called/3210859 Ep.002 Still Called to Take Care for Your Temple https://rss.com/podcasts/still-called/3211103
