Episode1.3: Am I Giving My Attention to What Matters Most?

We make plans. We set goals. We identify our priorities and decide what deserves our time and energy. And then life happens. In this episode of Purpose Diaries, I’m reflecting on the relationship between our goals, our priorities, and the things that ultimately get our attention. Sometimes circumstances change. Sometimes unexpected things demand more of us than we anticipated. And sometimes we get so caught up responding to life that we forget to stop and consider where we’re directing our time and energy. Today’s journal prompt: Am I giving my attention to what matters most? Scripture reference: Psalm 90:12 Take the question with you. Consider where your attention has been lately and whether it reflects the priorities you want to live by. Thanks for opening today’s page with me. Episode 1.2: What If It’s Been Entrusted to You?

What comes to mind when you hear the word stewardship? Money? Possessions? Responsibility? What if stewardship reaches further than we think? In this episode of Purpose Diaries, I’m reflecting on what it means to care of what has been entrusted to us…not just the things we own, but our gifts, our opportunities, our relationships. Through everyday experiences and a little biblical perspective, we’ll consider what changes when we stop looking at life as simply ours to do with as we please and to start thinking about how we’re caring for what we’ve been given. Today’s journal prompt: What would change if I treated everything in my life as something entrusted to me? Thanks for opening today’s page with me. Episode 1.1: What Does Purpose Actually Look Like?

What if purpose isn’t something you have to figure out someday? What if you’re already living it…in the ordinary day-to-day moments happening around you? In this episode, I’m thinking about what living on purpose, for purpose actually looks like in everyday life: the people we are responsible for, what we’ve been entrusted with, where we’re showing up well, where we could do better, and how we decide what deserves our yes. The question I’m sitting with to journal in my diary is: Where did I live out my purpose today? Not someday, today? Maybe the answer is bigger than you think. Or maybe it’s hiding in something seemingly ordinary. I appreciate you opening another page with me. Intro: Who and Why

Welcome to Purpose Dairies. In this introductory episode, I’m sharing a little about who I am, what has shaped the way I think about purpose, and why I created this podcast as a companion to On Purpose, For Purpose. I’m sharing a few key moments in my life that impacted me and what I’ve learned about purpose, faith, and trusting God along the way. Purpose isn’t always something you can see while you’re living in the moment. Sometimes you recognize it when you look back. I appreciate you opening this first page with me.
