Dr Wagner Died in an Accident, He Took Over

Today I examine the career of Dr. Wagner Jr. I cover how he continued his family's legacy after his father suffered a career-ending car accident in 1986. He avoided the aerial acrobatics common in Arena México and instead used the heavy strikes and power bombs of La Escuela Lagunera.I discuss his move from CMLL to Lucha Libre AAA. I detail how he built the Wagnermania movement, won the AAA Mega Championship three times, and became the top attraction for the company. I outline his famous mask versus mask match against Psycho Clown at Triplemanía 25. He lost his iconic white mask in front of 20,000 fans but handled the loss with dignity. Finally, I explain how he dropped the doctor title, kept his catchphrases, and rebranded as Rey Wagner."The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." - Psalms 34:18
