Midday Prayer (Traditional Language)

Pause in the middle of the day and turn it back toward God. Midday Prayer is a brief office of psalm, Scripture, and prayer, short enough to pray at your desk, on a walk, or over lunch, and a quiet place to rest in the busiest of days. Join with Christians around the world in praying with the Church, at any time or in any place you may find yourself. Each day's office comes to you complete: no flipping pages, no searching for Scripture readings or calendars, no puzzling over rubrics. The prayers are from The Book of Common Prayer (2019) of the Anglican Church in North America and follow the ancient pattern of daily prayer Christians have kept since the earliest days of the Church. In traditional prayer-book language (thee and thou), with the King James Version and the Coverdale Psalter. A new episode every day, with a link to pray along with the full text at dailyoffice2019.com. Read with synthesized (AI) voices, produced by the free Daily Office website and app, so a fresh episode is ready every day of the year.
