A podcast that asks what people actually do at work, and what it takes to start a career in a world that won’t stop changing. Hosted by Mac Chandler and Shawn Blossey, Wait...You Do What? explores careers through smart, funny, and honest conversations with people doing the work. They find out what these jobs involve, how people landed them, and what they wish they'd known when they were starting out. It's for students figuring out what’s next...and for parents trying to keep up. Your future can feel serious. But talking about it doesn't have to be.

    Wait...Where Do We Start?

Doctor or actor? How are you supposed to figure out what you want to do when you don't even know what most jobs are actually like? In this kickoff episode of Wait...You Do What?, student Mac Chandler and his mom, Shawn Blossey, share why they started a podcast about careers, the pressure to figure out your future, and the questions they wish more people would answer. Mac talks about his interest in creative careers (and why pediatrician is definitely off the table), while Shawn reflects on her own career path and the opportunities she wishes she'd explored. Together, they're setting out to have honest, funny conversations with people about what they actually do at work, how they got there, and what they wish they'd known when they were starting out. Your future can feel serious. But talking about it doesn't have to be.
