    Gospel of John - Week 3: A Journey to Cleanse

    John 2 is far more than the story of a miracle at a wedding. When Jesus turned water into wine using Jewish purification jars, He was making a profound statement: true purification comes from Him alone, not from religious ritual. The miracle is a picture of transformation, moving from what was to what is, from the old to the new. Transformation requires our participation. Jesus told the servants to fill the jars, and only then did He perform the miracle. Just as He cleansed the physical temple in Jerusalem, He desires to cleanse us, because our bodies are now the temple of the Holy Spirit. True growth happens through intentional time in prayer, Scripture, worship, and community with other believers. The water can become wine, but it starts with filling the jar. Support the show

    Eschatology - Theology Nights

    Many Christians have inherited a very specific picture of the end times, one built around a secret rapture, a seven-year tribulation, and a literal thousand-year reign of Christ on earth. But this framework, known as dispensationalism, was not developed until 1835 and has no roots in the early church or the Reformation. The historic position of the church, held by theologians from Augustine to Calvin, is that Christ is reigning now and will return once to consummate all things. Revelation is not a predictive news calendar but apocalyptic literature written to encourage persecuted first-century believers. The destination of the redeemed is not escape from earth but life with God on a renewed earth. Our view of the end times shapes how we live today, and the church is called not to passively wait but to actively participate in the kingdom of God right now. Support the show

    Gospel of John - Week 1: Who is Jesus?

    The opening of John's Gospel answers some of the biggest questions about who Jesus is and why He came. Jesus is identified as the Word, the full revelation of God, who existed before creation and through whom all things were made. He entered the world as the true light, yet the world did not recognize Him. To all who receive Him, He gives the right to become children of God, regardless of background or past. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, making the presence of God accessible to everyone. Jesus is not one path among many but the source of all light, life, and truth.     Jesus the Conquerer

    Evil still exists in the world, but Jesus conquers it in a way no human ruler ever has. Rather than defeating His enemies through force, He transforms them through agape, the self-sacrificing love that seeks another person's good at personal cost. This is the love displayed at the cross, where God stepped into human history and gave His life as a sacrifice for sin. The early church in Ephesus demonstrated this love in ways that turned the ancient world upside down, and the same victory is still unfolding today. Every act of foster care, forgiveness, prison ministry, or disaster relief is King Jesus continuing to conquer through His people. Agape is not a feeling.     Hebrews 11 - Week 2

    Faith is one of the most misunderstood concepts in Christianity. True, biblical faith is not about believing hard enough until things go your way, nor is it a formula for receiving health, wealth, and prosperity. Hebrews 11 paints a full picture of genuine faith, one that includes both miraculous victories and faithful endurance through suffering. Many of the heroes listed in that chapter never received the earthly reward they might have hoped for, yet their faith was just as real and just as honoring to God. Real faith is not tied to a specific outcome. It is anchored to the return of Christ and the restoration of all things. The challenge for every believer is to examine what their faith is actually resting on, and to choose trust in God not because of what He might give, but because of who He is. Support the show

    Hebrews 11 - Week 1

    Faith is one of the most misunderstood concepts in Christianity, and Hebrews 11 gives us a clear picture of what it truly means. Biblical faith is not positive thinking, manifesting, or believing hard enough to get what you want. It is taking God at His word and living obediently while trusting Him to fulfill His promises in His timing. The heroes of Hebrews 11, including Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Sarah, all demonstrated faith that was anchored not in outcomes but in the character of God. Some of them never saw every promise fulfilled in their lifetime, yet they kept believing. Real faith is not the absence of doubt. It is choosing to trust God even when circumstances are hard and prayers seem unanswered. Our hope is not in what we can receive today but in the certain promises of a God who never changes.     Remember & Respond

    Psalm 145 is King David's final psalm, and it serves as a powerful roadmap for a life of genuine praise. Blessing God is not about adding to who He is but about acknowledging who He already is. Praise grows naturally when we take time to remember and reflect on what God has done in our lives. God is compassionate, patient, and good to all people, not just those who follow Him. He is outside of time, sovereign over all creation, and our daily provider and sustainer. He is near to those who call on Him with sincerity and integrity. After a lifetime of victories and failures, David's conclusion was not bitterness or regret but praise. We have that same opportunity every single day. Support the show

    Undignified - Week 2

    Praise and worship are two distinct acts. Praise looks back at what God has done, while worship sets everything aside to focus entirely on who God is. To truly worship God, we must truly know God, because you can only love someone as much as you know them. Familiarity with church and with God can quietly erode our sense of awe, leaving us going through the motions without genuine submission. Like the sinful woman who washed Jesus' feet with her tears, real worship requires letting go of pride and dignity. God is holy in a way that should produce reverence, not casualness. Because of what Jesus did at Calvary, we have access to a holy God, and that access is worth far more than we typically treat it. He deserves our full, undignified, wholehearted worship.
