Episode 45: Coming Not Soon Enough

Inspired by a ton of new huge trailers, Justin, Pat, and Pete join together to discuss the art and science of trailers themselves. Why do they have to give away so much? Is it possible to market a film without giving away spoilers? And in the end... we really just agree to listen to Brad Bird. The guys lead-off the show talking about the casting for Disney's upcoming Beauty and the Beast live action film, the trading of female directors on Wonder Woman and Joss Whedon bemoaning the lack of an Edgar Wright-directed Ant-Man. Actual trailers discussed include the not-directed-by-Edgar Wright Ant-Man, the epic comic book battle, Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and of course, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. Make sure you stick around through the bloopers to hear the tale of how THE RAMBLING RAMBLERS came to have that name... and what it was almost named instead!

    Episode 44: The Disney Bracket!

Be our guest, as in the spirit of college basketball's March Madness, Justin, Pat, and Pete join together to figure out what the greatest animated Disney film is... and you better believe a bracket was created just for this occasion! 4 regions. 24 films. And lots of debate about which one would ultimately be considered king of the jungle! In addition to the bracket extravaganza, the guys also discuss the recent news about the two live action Disney remakes of Dumbo and Beauty and the Beast. They also discuss the most recent trailers of Disney's likely summer blockbusters, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Brad Bird's Tomorrowland.

    Episode 43: Hollywood's Mount Rushmore

Inspired from some at-home conversations, Justin, Pat, and Pete join together to attempt to create Hollywood's Modern Day Mount Rushmore. Movie stars become legendary because of more than just box office receipts - you also have to take into consideration public perception, critical reception, awards and everything that comes with being involved in the cinematic world... so who made the cut? Additionally, the guys allow Pat to geek out over the Spider-Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe news before discussing the passing of Leonard Nimoy and recapping the 87th Academy Awards. Trailers covered in this episode include Noah Baumbach's While We're Young, Simon Pegg in Kill Me Three Times and the upcoming sci-fi flick, Ex Machina.

Episode 42: Making Some Oscar Picks

On this episode, Pete, Justin, and a present-in-spirit-but-not-voice Pat do their best to guess which films are going to take home Oscar gold! Before they make their predictions, they discuss the box office success of 50 Shades of Grey (as well as the prospect of jellyfish being used as sexual innuendo), Neill Blomkamp taking on yet another Alien sequel and the gigantic superhero news that was Spider-Man joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In addition to that, they also cover the new trailers for Cameron Crowe's Aloha, Guillermo del Toro's Crimson Peak and Judd Apatow's Trainwreck.

Episode 40: So There Were These Things Called Books

In this episode, the guys get together in honor of the release of Gone Girl to discuss the art of the book adaptation and what that means in today’s Hollywood. What are some of the best examples of novel-to-screen adaptations? Some of the worst? And what do we hope one day makes it to the big screen? Before diving into that feature discussion, Pat, Pete, and Justin discuss the rumor about Marvel splitting Avengers 3 into two movies, Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass being Bourne again and the insanity that is the announcement of a movie called Tetris. God help us all. Trailers this week include Keanu Reeves in the horribly titled John Wick, Michael Mann’s Blackhat, Liam Neeson kicking ass again in Tak3n (or Taken 3 if you will) and the much-anticipated Paul Thomas Anderson film, Inherent Vice.

Episode 39: Shazamming the Rest of 2014

All three guys are back and this episode they're here to discuss the films they're most excited about over the rest of 2014 (you know, not named Gone Girl). Justin, Pat, and Pete also talk about Joaquin Phoenix and his interest in Marvel's Dr. Strange and Dax Shepard adapting the classic TV show "CHiPs" to the big screen. However, the biggest (and most fun) ramble comes when Pat puts on his Nerd Hat and tries to describe everything going on with Shazam, Captain Marvel and all the differences in the DC/Marvel universe in light of Dwayne Johnson's casting as Black Adam. Trailers this week include Jon Stewart's Rosewater, the William Shakespeare adaptation Cymbeline, and what could be the highest grossing film of 2014, Nicolas Cage in Left Behind.
