Five stars to the FITWR crew and specifically David Erhlich’s particularly humbling pronunciation of “BEE-hee-MOTH!” the other week. It’s been my go-to vocal stim ever since.
Genuinely, this is great podcast which has informed so much of my appreciation for movies, journalism, and the industry writ large. From Erhlich’s spirited diatribes, Da7e’s refreshing and informative cultural competency, and even Patches’ well-intentioned curiosity that sometimes comes across as pseudo-MAGA takes.
But most important and vital to my parasocial relationship with this show is the ever-patient, always-thoughtful Katey Rich. As a former Durhamite, I like to think that we’ve shared a film or two together at the local AMC, or caught an indie darling at the Chelsea Or Carolina Theater. Please have some Bean Traders for me. Or better yet, y’all finally get around to making a buck or two off this show so I can buy you a Chocolate Habanero or Iced Day Dreaming Dirty Hippie.
