Spirit and Life Bible Study

Thank you for all your work on this podcast!! These episodes are so spiritually gratifying. I feel like it’s positively impacting my life every day I listen in and really ponder/apply what is being taught. I am excited to hear all of the episodes, and I have a feeling like I will be listening & re-listening to this whole series again and again!

This guy has an amazing knowledge of the Bible. The connections he is able to make are so profound, and they just keep on coming. The topics are great too - always fresh, and interesting, and they always lead my mind down new avenues of thought. It's not at all dogmatic, it's a genuine attempt to explore what God is trying to tell us through the Bible, and it always comes back to our own lives and how we can be more loving/happy. The episodes are a little long, but very worth it when you can fit it in.

In each episode, Jonathan chooses a theme and delves into the Word, pulling out passages that illuminate his specific focus. Reading the Bible through a Swedenborgian lense, he uncovers a beautiful image of The Lord in the pages of scripture, one of infinite love and wisdom, even in difficult or thorny passages. His humor and conversational delivery bring the pages to life. Each hour long exploration leaves me feeling known by a divinely human God, inspired to make myself a vessel that can receive His life.
