Macomb Township Chiropractic, Shoulder Pain Relief

Overcoming Shoulder Pain: Alonzo's Recovery Story Alonzo, better known as Zo, was struggling with persistent shoulder pain, neck, and upper back when he came to Macomb Township Chiropractic. After suffering a fall while working on the line at an automotive plant, everyday activities became difficult for him. Simple tasks like working, driving, sleeping, or even relaxing caused constant discomfort. To make matters worse, Zo had also begun experiencing frequent headaches that added to his daily challenges. During his first visit, Zo received a full consultation along with chiropractic X-rays. After reviewing the results, Dr. Chris discovered several misalignments in Zo's spine. These areas were placing significant pressure on the nerves traveling from his neck into his shoulders and upper back, contributing to the pain he was experiencing. On his intake form, Zo rated his pain levels around 7 out of 10. Dr. Chris created a personalized care plan designed to address Zo's specific condition. His treatment included regular chiropractic adjustments, spinal decompression therapy using our advanced disc decompression table, postural rehabilitation to restore proper spinal alignment, muscle stimulation using a therapeutic massage gun, and a combination of heat and ice therapy. Within just a few weeks, Zo began noticing real improvement. Follow-up X-rays showed positive changes, and he reported feeling significantly better. He was able to return to work and resume many of his normal activities. After six months of care, Zo shared that he felt "totally better." For the first time in a long time, he could comfortably raise his arms above his head and move his shoulders without pain. His pain levels had dropped to 0–1 out of 10, and he described visiting our office as one of the best decisions he had made shoulder pain relief at Macomb Township Chiropractic YouTube Video.

As chiropractors, it's incredibly rewarding to see patients like Debbie regain comfort and improve their quality of life through natural, drug-free care. We Can Help With Sinus Headaches Sinus headaches can be frustrating, exhausting, and disruptive to everyday life. If you've experienced pressure around the forehead, eyes, cheeks, or nose—often paired with congestion or facial tenderness—you know how uncomfortable sinus issues can be. At Macomb Township Chiropractic, we regularly help patients who are looking for natural and effective ways to manage sinus-related discomfort and improve their overall well-being. What Causes Sinus Headaches? Sinus headaches are commonly linked to infections, allergies, or inflammation, but many people are surprised to learn that spinal alignment, posture, and muscle tension can also play an important role. When the neck and upper spine aren't moving or aligning properly, it can affect nerve communication, blood flow, and lymphatic drainage—key components of healthy sinus function. How Chiropractic Care Can Help One of the primary ways chiropractic care may help with sinus headaches is by addressing restrictions in the cervical spine (neck). Poor posture, stress, repetitive movements, and extended screen time can all contribute to stiffness and misalignment in this area. These issues may increase tension in surrounding muscles and nerves, potentially worsening sinus pressure and head pain. Gentle chiropractic adjustments and postural traction are designed to improve alignment, reduce tension, and support the body's natural healing and self-regulating processes. Poor Posture and Sinus Headaches Posture correction is another important part of care. Forward head posture—common with desk work and smartphone use—places added stress on the neck and upper spine. Over time, this strain may contribute to chronic headaches, including those associated with sinus discomfort. At Macomb Township Chiropractic, we educate patients on simple posture strategies and ergonomic adjustments they can use at home and at work to reduce strain and support long-term relief. If sinus headaches are impacting your daily life, it may be time to look beyond temporary solutions. Chiropractic care offers a natural, drug-free approach focused on improving function, reducing tension, and supporting your body's ability to heal itself. At Macomb Township Chiropractic, our goal is to help you breathe easier, feel better, and get back to enjoying life—without constant head pressure holding you back.

Macomb Township Chiropractic Patient Gets Treatment for Slip and Fall Horse Riding Injury

When Kathy came into Macomb Twp Chiropractic, she was dealing with the painful aftermath of a fall from her horse. What started as an accident quickly became a life-limiting problem. She was experiencing pain in her back, neck, and ribs, along with hip pain and frequent headaches. Beyond the discomfort, the injuries were affecting her balance, flexibility, daily activities and—most importantly to her—her ability to ride her horse comfortably. Kathy mentioned she did rehab for about six months, but it never helped the "deep" pain she continued to feel. As an active rider, Kathy found it frustrating that everyday movements felt restricted and unstable. Tasks that once felt natural now required extra effort, and riding became uncomfortable and difficult. She knew she needed help not just to reduce the pain, but to restore her mobility. At Kathy's first visit to our office, she rated her pain levels at 7's out of 10 on our pain scale, and Chiropractic x-rays showed misalignments in her spine. Dr. Chris explained to Kathy we would focus on addressing the root causes of her symptoms rather than just masking them. Through a personalized chiropractic care plan that included postural rehabilitation, disc decompression on our state-of-the art disc decompression table, muscle gun stimulation, and heat and ice therapy, we worked to improve Kathy's spinal alignment, reduce inflammation, and restore proper alignment to the affected areas. Over time, Kathy began to notice real changes—less pain, improved balance, better flexibility, and fewer headaches. Today, Kathy is almost completely pain-free and back to doing everything she loves. She's riding her horse again, told us she has better posture, more flexibility, and even noticed her horse is riding more level due to her improved posture. She is living her life without the constant reminder of her injury. Testimonials like Kathy's are why Dr. Chris got into Chiropractic. Chiropractic care isn't just about pain relief—it's about helping patients regain function, confidence, and the freedom to live fully.  You can watch Kathy's YouTube video testimonial  on Macomb Twp Chiropractic YouTube page. Falls happen when a person unexpectedly loses balance or stability, often due to slipping, tripping, or misstepping on uneven surfaces. They can be caused by factors such as wet floors, poor lighting, obstacles, dizziness, fatigue, or sudden movements. When a fall occurs, the body may be injured in various ways, ranging from minor bruises and scrapes to more serious injuries like sprains, fractures, or head trauma. Falls can significantly affect the spine by placing sudden force on the neck or back, which may damage bones, discs, muscles, or nerves.   What are the Symptoms you have after a Fall? Symptoms after a fall can include: pain or tenderness, bruising, swelling, stiffness, cuts or scrapes, headaches, and reduced range of motion. Some people may notice back or neck pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness if nerves are involved. Often delayed symptoms from a fall can occur days, weeks, even months later. These include persistent pain, fatigue, stiffness, and headaches. What Kind of Problems Arise from having a Fall? After a fall, several problems can arise, especially involving the spine and neck, due to the sudden impact and force placed on these areas. A fall can cause cervical or spinal fractures, herniated or bulging discs, and soft tissue injuries such as muscle strains or ligament sprains, leading to ongoing neck or back pain and stiffness. Nerve compression may develop, resulting in symptoms like numbness, tingling, weakness, or radiating pain into the arms or legs. In more serious cases, damage to the spinal cord can affect balance, coordination, or even bladder and bowel control. How Does Chiropractic Help? Chiropractic care can help people after a fall by addressing spinal misalignments, joint restrictions, and soft tissue injuries that may result from the impact. Gentle chiropractic adjustments and supportive therapies can help reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore proper alignment in the spine and neck, which can ease pressure on nerves and promote better healing and function.  What Does Macomb Township Chiropractic Offer?  At Macomb Township Chiropractic, we help patients recover after falls by using a natural, personalized approach focused on healing the spine and restoring function. Regular chiropractic adjustments help realign the spine and joints, reducing pain, stiffness, and nerve inflammation caused by the impact of a fall. Our state-of-the-art disc decompression table is used to gently relieve pressure on injured or bulging discs, supporting disc health and promoting natural healing. In addition, Dr. Chris specializes in postural rehabilitation, which focuses on correcting the alignment of the spine for long-term, lasting effects. TMJ Jaw Pain Relief at Macomb Twp Chiropractic

Debi came into Macomb Township Chiropractic with multiple health issues including neck and back pain, gerd, sleep apnea, sinus problems, and TMJ pain. Her pain levels at one point were a 7 out of 10 on a pain scale, and she was desperately looking for some type of relief for her TMJ pain. Many doctors will tell you it's often difficult to find the exact cause of TMJ Disorder, which can cause jaw and muscle pain. Debi told us all areas of her life were being affected with this issue including sleeping, working, and relaxing.  Debi received a full consultation on her first visit with us, as well as a complete set of Chiropractic x-rays. After the analysis, Dr. Chris found multiple areas in Debi's spine and her neck that were out of alignment. Debi's neck in particular was severely misaligned which caused her posture and shoulders to be uneven. This misalignment was putting severe pressure on the nerves coming out her neck and upper back, contributing to her TMJ disorder. Debi was put on a care plan geared to her problems which included regular Chiropractic adjustments, neck disc decompression on our state-of-the-art decompression table, postural rehab to help correct the shape of her spine, and muscle gun stimulation.  After just six short weeks of therapy, Debi's x-rays showed great improvement, and she marked on her re-evaluation form she was "totally better" in almost all areas she was having problems with when she came in. How Macomb Twp Chiropractic Prevents Back and Disc Surgery

Jacob came into Macomb Twp Chiropractic to Prevent Back and Disc Surgery. He Suffered with severe low back, hip, and sciatic pain after being in a car accident a few months before. He was ranking his pain level at a 10 out of 10 on our pain scale. He complained that he was barely able to walk, unable to stand, work, or drive, and was basically bed-bound. He was seeing his primary doctor and an orthopedic surgeon for his back pain, and they told him he had severe disc bulges and needed surgery as soon as possible, as that was the only solution for his severe pain. Nathan decided to try one last option before surgery, and come into our office. Dr. Chris took some x-rays and found multiple areas in his spine that were very misaligned, and the disc bulges that were pinching on many of the nerves in his back. Jacob was immediately put on a care plan which included regular chiropractic adjustments, treatment on our disc decompression machine, postural rehabilitation (to correct the shape of the spine), and muscle and nerve gun therapy. After just six short weeks, Nathans new x-rays showed improvement, and he stated on his re-exam form he felt "totally better" in almost all of the areas of pain he had when he first came in. Nathan continued with his treatments and today, just four months later, he is completely pain free and no longer is a candidate for back surgery. His life is back to normal and he is working again, driving, walking pain free, and sleeping with no issues. He did a video testimonial for us because he was so happy with the success he's had coming into our office and working with Dr. Chris. He actually stated he feels "stronger today than he did before his accident." Back surgery is always a risk, and many doctors will tell you that you have no other options to relieve the pain especially if you have disc bulges. But Nathan is a perfect example that you have other options! Chiropractic should always be a consideration before deciding upon surgery. End your Tinnitus with Chiropractic Care in Macomb Township

Tinnitus, sometimes referred to as ringing in the ears, is that annoying perception of sound that does not have an external source. It affects over 50 million people a year, and most doctors do not have a cure for it. While symptoms for tinnitus can vary from a constant ringing sound to buzzing or humming, these noises can become more than annoying for someone who's experiencing them.   Tinnitus can interfere with sleeping and concentrating, working and relaxing, and begin to take a toll on you mentally. Many people with long term tinnitus report having daily stress, headaches, and irritability, fatigue, dizziness, and memory issues. Many doctors try to find underlying causes for tinnitus such as earwax buildup or internal ear damage, but the vast majority only offer help to manage the symptoms. They suggest sound, antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds to reduce the emotional impact, or surgery, often with cochlear implants. But doctors do not address one of the main possible causes for tinnitus, which is nerve interference. Evidence, however, suggests misalignments in the neck or spine can result in nerve pressure that directly disrupts nerve signals to the auditory system. Nerve endings in the neck have connections to the hearing centers in the brain, and if nerves are pinched, normal signals are disrupted, causing inflammation, decrease of blood flow, and the potential for tinnitus. A Chiropractor named Dr. Chris McNeil, at Macomb Township Chiropractic, has successfully helped patients who have come into their office complaining about tinnitus. His office specializes in state-of-the art Chiropractic treatments that restore the normal alignment of the spine, to take the pinching and pressure off of the nerves that control the inner ear and hearing centers. Dr. Chris stated: "Tinnitus can be the result of underlying conditions",specifically "misalignments in the neck that cause nerve pressure". A recent patient named Phil received tinnitus relief therapy and treatments at Macomb Township Chiropractic. He complained that his tinnitus was taking over his life and he "couldn't think straight," and "couldn't do anything!" After a complete consultation and Chiropractic x-rays, Dr. Chris quickly noticed the multiple misalignments in Phil's neck that he believed were directly causing his headaches and tinnitus. With the help of regular Chiropractic adjustments and postural rehabilitation treatments, Phil reported after just six short weeks, his tinnitus was completely gone. So how exactly does a Chiropractor help tinnitus? At Macomb Twp Chiropractic they use specific and scientific Chiropractic rehab to realigns the spine using postural adjustments and traction to relieve any pressure on the nerves, as well as increasing blood flow to the brain and auditory system and improving overall nerve function.

Macomb Twp Chiropractic May Be the Answer to your Carpal Tunnel Pain & Numbness

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a condition that causes pain, numbness, and weakness in your fingers and hands. It often develops from repetitive hand or wrist motion, an injury, or certain medical conditions. Symptoms are caused by pressure on your median nerve, a long nerve that runs the length of your arm and enters a small passage in your wrist called your carpal tunnel. These symptoms usually develop slowly, but if not treated will worsen with time. Besides numbness and pain, you may develop tingling or burning sensations, shock-like feelings through your fingers, trouble holding onto things, and loss of feeling. You may develop more pain and muscle cramping, and muscles in your hand may degrade to a critical point where surgery is the only option for relief. While traditional treatments for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome include drugs, injections, and often surgery, Macomb Township Chiropractic, in Macomb County Michigan, wants you to know they can help with a healthier alternative. Dr. Chris McNeil has been a practicing Chiropractic for over twenty years, and has had success in treating patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Since pinched nerves are the primary culprit with Carpal Tunnel, Chiropractic sets out to relieve these pinched nerves in the spine and other parts of the body. Often misalignments in the spine can cause pain and numbness in the arms, wrists, and hands as nerves from the spine travel to all parts of the body. Manual adjustments to realign the spine relieve nerve pressure to all areas of the body, and direct manipulation to the median nerve can relieve many symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. One patient named Rachel found Carpal Tunnel Relief at Macomb Township Chiropractic . Rachel, a long time nail technician, was suffering for years with numbness and pain in her arms, wrists and hands. The pain was affecting her work and home life. Traditional methods of treatment were unsuccessful, so she paid a visit to see Dr. Chris. After Chiropractic x-rays were taken on Rachel, numerous areas in her spine showed misalignments, which Dr. Chris felt were directly affecting the pain and numbness she was having. She was put on a treatment plan which included chiropractic adjustments and postural rehabilitation (which works to retain the brain to realign the spine back to a more normal position). Just two short months later, Rachel reported improvement, and stated she was able to work longer hours at work again. After one year of treatment, Rachel states she is feeling "wonderful", is able to work again without pain or numbness, and it has greatly improved her home life. She boasted about her carpal tunnel pain and numbness relief at Macomb Township Chiropractic on a YouTube video testimonial.

Macomb Township Chiropractic Improves Posture Problems

Austin, a young man, came into Macomb Twp Chiropractic with  poor posture concerns a few years ago. He stated he had bad posture and noticed a distinct "hunch" in his back, which he felt he had most of his life. He was also having headaches, neck pain, and back pain, which was affecting his everyday life. Austin noted it was interfering with his working out as well as at his job. On his consultation sheet, he listed his pain levels in his back at 9's on a scale from 0-10, and his neck and headaches, at 5's.  After analyzing Austin's x-rays, Dr. Chris noted there was too much curve in his back, and his posture was out of alignment. The misalignments in his spine were also putting pressure on many of his nerves, which was contributing to the high level of pain Austin was experiencing. Dr. Chris created a care plan specific to Austin's needs, which included manual adjustments, postural traction therapy, muscle gun stimulation, and heat and ice therapy. The specified treatments were geared to not only correcting the misalignments in Austin's spine, but to correct the curve in his back to achieve a closer to normal position. After just four months of therapy, new x-rays were taken and improvement was noted by Dr. Chris. Austin said he felt he was about 60% better, and his numbers decreased to 5's from 9's. After one year, Austin's x-rays showed considerable change in the curve in his back, and Austin stated he was "totally better" in most areas. He noticed the change in his posture and only had slight back pain which he noted as 2's, on the scale from 0-10. His headaches were completely gone, and he was not experiencing any neck pain anymore.  Austin was able to achieve his goal of improving his posture at our office, and said he doesn't notice the once obvious hunch in his back. His life has improved by being able to work out again without pain, and get through the work day pain free. Watch Austin and Dr. Chris in his  Macomb Twp Chiropractic Chiropractor Poor Posture YouTube testimonial talking his improvements. Poor Posture usually stems from the spine being aligned in an unnatural position. It can be seen by having rounded shoulders, a forward head, or a slumped or hunchback. Poor posture can not only lead to pain and discomfort, but potential health issues. Poor posture can actually begin in childhood from spinal deformities such as scoliosis, or just from excessive slouching. Long hours in school or in front of a screen, carrying a backpack, or lack of physical activity contribute to poor childhood posture. Poor posture at any age can lead to permanent structural changes and have long-term consequences. What are the Symptoms of Poor Posture? Symptoms of poor posture can manifest in many ways. These can include pain, stiffness, soreness, and additional physical issues. Common symptoms include pain in the neck, back, and shoulders, low back pain, headaches, muscle strain or stiffness, spasms, body aches, nerve compression, and decreased range of motion. What Kind of Problems Arise from Poor Posture? Many problems can arise if poor posture is not corrected. Besides pain, other issues can include: breathing difficulties, digestive issues, jaw pain, poor balance, decreased mood and mental health issues, reduced flexibility, fatigue, increased risk of falls, poor circulation, foot and knee problems, sleep disorder, and joint and muscle dysfunction. How Does Chiropractic Help? Chiropractic is one of the most effective ways to improve posture. Chiropractors can identify misalignments, assess your current posture, and use techniques including spinal adjustments to correct and restore proper alignment and posture. Chiropractic helps to balance muscle support and relieves pinched nerves, all which help facilitate proper posture and overall body healing. What Does Macomb Township Chiropractic Offer?
