Pursuit of the Trivial

Conning a ship refers to the person in charge of the Bridge while a vessel is underway. The Bridge Team (on my vessel anyways) includes a Lookout and a Helmsmen while I would be considered the Conning Officer or Mate On Watch(MOW). As the MOW I plot my position on a paper chart using latitude and longitude, i use a radar to inform me of any other ships in the area and determine if i have the right of way or if i need to maneuver, stay on a pre-determined course line taking into consideration weather and seas, and give orders to the helmsmen to compensate. Can't listen to it without laughing! These two guys are very witty, and their wide range of topics always keeps your interest throughout the episodes. A pleasure to listen too!

These guys need to work on their pacing, but they have ample talent to provide a solid hour of podcasting. In fact, they already did. Had me in stitches. I wouldn't quite call it informative, and I wouldn't quite call it funny--but they're talking about interesting things while being funny in of themselves. For now, that's good enough. I recommend.
