    An unshakable life

Pastor Derrill preached on "An Unshakable Life" from Hebrews 12:28–13:8, bringing the book of Hebrews to a powerful conclusion by showing that faith is more than what we believe—it is reflected in how we live. Because we have received an unshakable kingdom through Jesus Christ, our response should be a life marked by gratitude, worship, generosity, integrity, and genuine love for others. A faith anchored in Christ is not merely professed; it is demonstrated in everyday obedience. Throughout the message, Pastor Derrill emphasized that gratitude is the foundation of a stable life. Rather than being shaken by changing circumstances, believers are called to fix their hearts on God's unchanging kingdom and faithful character. As our relationship with Christ deepens, our faith becomes visible through practical expressions of love, hospitality, compassion, and trust. The transformation God produces within us naturally overflows into the way we treat others and live each day. This message challenges us to evaluate whether our lives truly reflect the faith we proclaim. An unshakable life is built not on temporary circumstances but on the unchanging person of Jesus Christ. As we keep Him at the center, gratitude replaces fear, obedience flows from love, and our lives become a testimony of God's enduring faithfulness. When Christ is our foundation, we can stand firm through every season, knowing that His kingdom—and those who belong to it—cannot be shaken.

    Swing before you see it

Pastor Derrill preached on "Swing Before You See It" from Hebrews 11:1–16, reminding us that biblical faith is not blind optimism but confident trust in God's promises before they become visible. Throughout Hebrews 11, we see men and women who refused to let uncertainty define their future. Instead of waiting for every detail to make sense, they obeyed God's voice, trusting that He would faithfully fulfill what He had promised. Throughout the message, Pastor Derrill explained that faith always moves before everything is visible. The heroes of faith did not settle for comfort or security—they lived with an eternal perspective that shaped every decision. Their confidence wasn't rooted in what they could see but in the character of the God who had called them. Even when the destination was unknown, they continued walking because they believed God was leading them toward something greater. The sermon challenged believers to exchange hesitation for obedience. While our natural tendency is to wait until every question is answered, God often calls us to take the next faithful step before the full picture is revealed. Real faith is demonstrated through action, not merely belief. As we trust God's promises above our circumstances, we discover that He meets us in our obedience, strengthens us through every step, and leads us into the purpose He has prepared. Faith doesn't wait until the path is completely clear—it moves forward, trusting that God is already there.

    I’m Not In This Alone

Pastor Asim preached on "Dugout > Isolation" from Hebrews 10:19–25, reminding us that following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey. When life becomes difficult, our natural instinct is often to withdraw—from God, from church, and from the people who care about us. Hebrews gives a different response: draw near to God, hold firmly to your faith, and stay connected to the community of believers. Spiritual strength is built through consistent relationships, not isolated resilience. Throughout the message, Pastor Asim emphasized that God designed His Church to be a place of encouragement, accountability, and hope. Just as a team finds strength in the dugout, believers grow stronger when they remain connected to one another. Isolation leaves us vulnerable to discouragement and spiritual drift, while authentic community reminds us of God's faithfulness and helps us persevere through life's challenges. The sermon challenged every believer to make connection a priority rather than an afterthought. Encouraging others is not reserved for outgoing personalities—it is a responsibility every follower of Christ shares. As we intentionally gather, pray, worship, and spur one another on toward love and good works, our faith becomes stronger and more resilient. God never intended for us to fight life's battles alone. When we stay connected to Him and to His people, we discover the strength, hope, and endurance that only biblical community can provide.
