    I reflect on a quote from Swyx about how podcast subscribers are often more engaged than newsletter subscribers, podcasting as a great excuse to connect regularly with friends or to reach people you might not otherwise get to talk to, and finally I emphasize digging into stats and making sure the numbers are saying what you think they're saying.     Daily(ish) on YouTube?

    I talk about the challenge of keeping up with a daily podcast (even under 10 minutes) and why I don’t blame anyone for not subscribing, while thanking listeners who do. I revisit the idea of publishing a video version since I’m already recording in Descript, but I’m reluctant to make daily video part of my commitment because it adds publishing steps and longer uploads, even if YouTube’s platform is easy.
