From what I've seen, Backwards Colors is pod-cast with great promises. Set in the factious country of the Democratic Republic of Southern Canada that has been formed by obviously Arab-Spring-influenced revolutionaries, the characters Ben and Moses are set up to be the ministers of culture and are closely watched by their government overseer, Jihad Jerry (this stereotypical and borderline discriminate portrayal of Arabic people can be appalling to many people). In the first episode, the characters are introduced and the cast reads and discusses the sinister meaning of a instructional manual for a microphone. The complete randomness of the dialogue is hilarious, if one can actually hear what they are saying. The overall context of the dialogue is wonderful and very funny. However, I only gave the first episode 4 stars because of the technical difficulties and the negative image of Middle Eastern people presented by the show. I can't wait till episode two. Hope the show can grow in its hilarity, overcome sound issues, and lessen its racial and discriminatory portrayal of Arabs. Good Luck!
