I was listening to this preacher and was happy he was teaching about giving, until he got to the tithing portion. He taught that tithing was an Old Testament law, he is wrong. Genesis 14:17-20 shows tithing before the law was created and that it had nothing to do with the law. The preacher taught that tithing was done and didn’t need to be done again on the basis that in 2 Corinthians, the Bible teaches that each giver should give according to their situation. He is wrong. Yes each giver should give more than tithing based on their situation but JESUS stated in Matthew 23:23 that you SHOULD give your tithe. You should give your tithe with the right heart, because JESUS knew that Leviticus 27:30 stated that ALL tithe belongs to the Lord. This preacher doesn’t know the word and therefore you must be careful to listen to him. To receive true blessing (which is the abundance of God in your life) you must tithe because it belongs to the Lord.
