I checked out episode 118 with Mihalis from Language Transfer. I’ve been using Language Transfer for French (I took a year in High School and want to brush up on it improve my skills) and Swahili (new language) and it’s been so refreshing and helpful!!! Anyway I wanted to learn more about Mihalis’s process in learning and creating the courses and this conversation was insightful but also encouraging to keep learning!! I appreciate a good interviewer and Kris does fantastic. It felt like a relaxed conversation that I got to benefit from. I’ll be checking out more!! This helps strengthen my desire to keep putting in the effort and learning. Aiming for progress, not perfection. Thank you!!!!

This is an interesting podcast about learning languages. Kris Broholm interviews people who have successfully learned other languages - many of them polyglots, some hyperglots. He helps show that it is not necessary to learn in the traditional classroom (in fact this is probably not the best way for most people). His guests give practical tips to learn languages and ideas for materials to learn languages. In fact, this is a “Golden Era” for language learning with the internet and modern communication. I encourage you to listen to as many of these episodes as possible to help motivate you on your language learning adventure. Most of all, have fun on your journey!

I love these interviews and they definitely help me focus on why I am trying to learn a third language. But the podcast isn’t just for language nerds and academics! Everyone interested in travel, intercultural dialogue and lifelong learning should listen!

Episode 162 was awesome. I loved hearing the speaker’s story about his journey learning his heritage and family language. Just downloaded his app and am loving it! This podcast has some great guests- thank you to the host for such helpful content!
