Alexi Lalas’ State of the Union Podcast

I’ve been listening to your podcast religiously for years now. It’s interesting, sometimes edgy, but with content that checks all my boxes for what I want to hear about when it comes to soccer content. I don’t always agree with the takes, which I appreciate, but in general they are well thought out and substantiated, while for the most part refraining from the performative and lazy click-bait content that creates controversy. All that being said…..If you take away my “What are we watching” segment from the beginning of the show I’m going to be extremely disappointed!!! Don’t listen to the Millennials (yes that’s you producers) that consider a Tic Toc to be the extreme limits of their feature film attention spans. In keeping with the remainder of the show, this segment personalizes the media content and sprinkles in prospective on movies, shows, and documentaries that I find interesting. Many a recommendation provided I thought after watching, “I would have never watched that except for….” Oh, and not for nothing, is it too “cringe” for those that what to go straight to the chorus to have to navigate the fast forward buttons and/or skip content features or is that just a Gen-Xer thing? Keep up the great work and keep including the content that has brought you this far.
