    Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 599 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Blake's cougar encounter and the ultimate tune-able tube screamers   It's a new year and Bri goes straight to the resolutions and nonsense, predictably, ensues before he makes a massive revelation and interrogates Richard's brain. Meanwhile he has been dreaming of adding a bender to his Les Paul and the guys were impressed by Brian's impersonation of Keith Richards.  Richard get's all nostalgic for MTV but thanks to a website he was introduced to (https://wantmymtv.vercel.app/) he is able to sate his whimsical leanings. This leads the guys into a trip down memory lane as they discuss their favorite periods of the legendary music station that is no more. Richard is also disappointed with a new Bowie documentary but managed to catch GAS from it nevertheless. Blake has a "vintage" looper pedal and the guys talk about it at length. Brian comes up with an insane ground-breaking pedal design and the guys discuss it via the medium of Jell-o.     Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 598 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Get off the stage, pedalboy - it's the New Year's Eve Special 2025! Brian is playing a New Year's Eve gig, Beyonce is a billionaire. and Blake is a cuboid hulk that is composed of 110% grass fed beef. Richard assumes too much and regrets asking Brian about what he's been up to before talking about some technobabble. Richard discusses the guitar related gifts he received, the one he didn't receive,  and the guys share their Christmas hauls for 2025. Brian is astonished to discover Richard has never seen a Sweetwater catalog and has proved drummer's are real musicians...kinda. Brian has launched a new website, betterguitartone.com, as he is a workaholic and also potentially slowly morphing into the Grinch.     597 - It's the Most Wonderful Gear of the Year!

    Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 597 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - It's the Most Wonderful Gear of the Year!  The guys are back for this Holiday Special episode of the Chasing Tone Podcast and Brian and Blake come in strong with some singing. I think that's what it is. It has been quite the year for gear, and so the guys take a festive goosey gander at Reverb's top pedals of 2025.  The guys attempt to coax some form of festivity from Brian with mixed results and then lament the current cost of living. Brian cooks up a plan to speed up the Christmas Holiday and a new business idea is hatched. Slowly, but surely, the guys get back on track and there is much rejoicing!  Richard has been running some tone based Ai experiments with a new website he has helped a little with, debatably.ai. Blake remains unconvinced. Brian ponders a new type of Christmas decoration and has a Skateboard rant. Definitely avoid listening to the credits if you value your sanity.     Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 596 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - I could fall asleep at night as a Rock and Roll star...and JHS make history Brian starts flexing his biceps and immediately Richard brings the tone down before admitting his ego has very much got the better of him. He has finally got to gig with his band and those that have followed the tale for the last, err, two years may be interested to hear how it went. Brian managed to spark panic with his pre-gig advice. Richard had a great gig experience watching the band Jamiroquai but it was slightly tainted by the people he sat next to and he tells us of his many woes. There was some sad news from the entertainment world this week and the guys discuss it.  JHS and Electro Harmonix have collaborated on the Big Muff 2 and the guys all love it for various reasons which they debate. Brian looks at some of the nerdier aspects of the circuit before making some shocking goat based revelations. Elsewhere Robert Keeley has released an intriguing new reverb pedal which the guys check out. Richard is about to play his first real guitar gig and he is somewhat nervous, so the guys give him advice on how to make it though like a pro. There is plenty of actual advice for a gig novice and there are also amusing stories and many red herrings. Somehow a new pedal is invented. Speaking of pedals, Brian has got a new pedal that he has never owned before and he digs into what he likes about - it much to his surprise. He also tells us about his new best friend on the Internet and there is a terrible confession from one of the guys. There is also more talk about aliens. Blake has been pumping iron and Richard is turning more American while there has been a new Badder Monkey pedal and the guys go bananas about it. Richard patents True Bypass. Brian has mullet advice.     Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 594 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Brian breaks the Internet as Wampler debut The Compulsion Drive Brian has turned into Pedal Santa and Richard has been making new friends by daring to try something experimental on the Internet and the guys discuss it. Fair warning - there may be some ranting as there was a bit of a pile-on and our intrepid British King of Fuzz had to fight them off at the drawbridge (insert trumpet sound here).  Wampler released The Compulsion Drive (TCD) which was Brian's tribute to a famous circuit and it has proved very popular for a number of reasons. The guys discuss some of the modifications Brian made, the special not-so-hidden dip-switches, and talk a little about some of the design choices that were made.  Ozzy Osbourne's estate have put out a T-shirt that made the guys giggle in a puerile way and so it needs to be discussed. Meanwhile Josh Scott of JHS has been working on a new charity project and it has impressed Richard into sarcasm submission.     Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 593 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Terrible analogies, Dirty-T, and Brian teases a new pedal release!    Blake opens up with a revelation about a new pedal and Richard is immediately forced to make a legal disclaimer.  He also has the worst business idea ever and Brian dreams up a new rap name. Fractal engineering have released a new modeling unit and the guys think it is cool but have little else to offer.  Richard finally got to the bottom of his cartridge based onboard effects idea when he had a communication with one of the leading companies in this field. Do you use wireless monitoring when you play in a band? The guys look at modern radio systems versus wi-fi based systems and Brian schools Richard. Were you in a band at high school? The guys talk about the difference between British and American schools and there are notable differences. Brian went nostalgic and watched some classic movies while elsewhere there has been big UFO based news. Richard breaks some Brad Paisley news to Brian in an Internet first!     Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 592 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - What's happening to the price of US guitars, the rise of the robots, and Brian's goth phase   Blake has a wallet bursting conundrum as not one but two of his favorite bands are on the same bill and he needs help which Brian and Richard are more than happy to not give. Richard bores Brian to near death with Pink Floyd related updates and then talks about his new old music discoveries.  Richard has AI based concerns and he expresses them via the medium of terrible analogies. Brian is not convinced that he is right but there is a business idea and a possible confession. The horrors persist for Richard as he discusses a brand new release from Gibson and Brian taunts him with emojis.  There are some language barriers that need to be broken down and there is much confusion.
