Enough has been written about how great the mainline Life of Caesar podcast is, and many of the same laudits can be applied here. I would add to that, however, that this version has a distinct allure due to the interviews with other Caesar/Rome history personas (whether podcaster, historian, writer, et al), and what is perhaps the most intriguing of all is to listen to the interviews, generally featuring very similar lines of questioning, and hearing the starkly differing viewpoints of aforesaid personas. Being a Caesar/revolution advocate, I am of course drawn to the interviews with those who espouse similar positions, but believe you will find it just as interesting to listen to the defenses of the oligarchic (ie "Republican" or "Senatorial") sympathizers. All in all, great stuff, and Cameron and Ray are fantastic guides on what is more than just another trip through the annals of anicent Rome and the time of Caesar.
