I like a lot about this podcast, but a couple of things keep me from regularly listening. I do like it much better when Annie has a partner to talk with and was sorry when the original regular cohost left. Her solo episodes could probably run half as long if she didn’t constantly repeat herself. In a review she will say she really liked a book at least three times or more, and repeats virtually everything else she says. Also, where is the editor? Commercials suddenly begin in the middle of someone’s sentence. It’s very jarring.

This pod was recommended based on my listening habits. I like the rapport between the hosts. Mary Karr was name dropped. She’s a queen on par with Ann patchett. No one else comes close. Might I recommend Sarah’s bookshelves to you? Personally I’m a little perplexed that the Correspondent seems to appear on every list. I keep adding to this. Ann patchett is so special that I tho k she’s too elite for everyone. Podcasters really have no right to speak of her. I could because I can relate to her. I enjoy the podcast, generally, but any episode with Hunter is unlistenable. I’ve tried and have never been able to make it through longer than 5 minutes.

While I like the content and the participants on this podcast the poor production quality is becoming increasingly frustrating. Ads pop in the middle of sentences totally interrupting the flow. The episodes could also use some additional editing to remove repetitive comments.
