    B4FP 006: Interview with Abby from Just a Girl and her Blog

    This week I had the honor of interviewing a blogger that have followed a long time but it was an honor because she is also an E-book author. She has been blogging for a little over a year and she wrote a book about everything she has learned. Meet Abby from Just a Girl and her Blog.   Her new E-book is She even talked with me about how she published her E-Book. She chose to go a different route than Amazon. She used a website called Gum Road. You self publish and sell directly from your own website. This allows you more freedom. Great advice, Abby!!! She also spent a weekend away in a hotel room to write it. Even better idea!!! Her best advice and aha!!! moment for me was her idea to boost her email list. Having an email list allows you to connect with your readers whenever you need to by getting in their inbox. So, if you have products come out like Abby's E-book, you send out announcements to your readers. Abby found a great way to boost her email list and she shares it with us. Lucky us!!!     B4FP 005: Interview with Norine and Jessica from Science of Parenthood

    This week I had the pleasure of interviewing not just one blogger but two. They are blogging partners and the creative minds behind, Science of Parenthood. Meet Norine and Jessica!   They talked about how to blog as partners. From dividing up the blog work load based on their individual strengths and weaknesses to staying organized. These ladies are definitely on their game. They give us great advice about blogging and even parenting. We even talk about their blogging goals and I am excited for them. They have a bright future! The biggest lesson I learned from talking to them just reaffirms that knowing who you are as a blogger, knowing your voice and knowing your audience is #1. These ladies know who they are and they are consistent. As bloggers, this is so very important and if you are working on branding yourself, then you need to be consistent about who you are and what you share with your readers. Be sure to visit their blog for parenting advice in a fun way and the illustrations are so cute! They combine science with parenting and what they get is pure genius. Parenting blogs are big in the blog-o-sphere and these ladies are at the top of the charts. I had fun talking to them and I know you will have a great time hearing and learning from them.     B4FP 004: Interview with Jilly from HiitsJilly.com about making money with ebooks on your blog.

    This week, I had the pleasure of talking to Jillian Robertson from Hi it's Jilly. We talked about E-books. How to create one, get it published and how to market it. Jillian was a contributor for this E-book and she talks about her experience. Just click on the picture to go read more about this book and how to get your own copy. The author is Jessica McCoy from If you are thinking of writing your own E-Book, Jillian and I had some suggestions to help you. Find contributors- team up with other writers/bloggers. When it comes time to market the book you will reach a wide range of people because everyone has their own readers or audience. It is also good to have several pairs of eyes on the book for editing purposes. When it comes to get a cover designed, try finding a graphic designer or I suggested Fiverr. This is a great site that you can find artists and graphic designers that will create for you for just $5. The cover of your book will make a difference on how many people will view it. People really do judge  a book by its cover so be creative! Jillian mentioned that along with pushing the book through social media that they also became a part of E-Junkie. This website helps you sell your books and offers affiliate links so anyone can advertise for you and get a percentage of all sales. Affiliate programs are an awesome way to monetize your blog and when you offer affiliate links people feel like they are part of your "team." Jillian also had a great tip to offer Mini Sales or Promo Sales for your book. Great idea! There are many platforms to publish your E-Book on. We mentioned Amazon as one and I said that there is a program that helps with the publishing process. KD Publishing is one you can download and it helps format your book and publish directly to Amazon for the Kindle. The trick here for getting noticed on Amazon is to have reviews. Reviews help you stay relevant. Remember that just like regular books, E-Books have a shelf life. So stay relevant and keep promoting.     B4FP 003: Interview with Cathy from Our Mini Family

    Do you want to start monetizing your blog? Are you at the point in your blogging journey that you can start making a little money? I talked to Cathy from Our Mini Family about this very topic and so many great ideas came out of it. I can't wait for you to listen. We talked about knowing your blogging voice, media kits, knowing your audience and then we moved on to the money talk. We also mentioned some ways to get to know your audience by using Google Analytics and Clicky. You can see where your traffic is coming from and what age group you are appealing to. We also talked about running ads on your blog with Google AdSense as well as some other ad networks that you can work with to get campaigns. Such as: Clevergirls   Collective Bias Blogher Cathy also mentions making money doing product reviews. She suggests using Tomoson. We also wanted to be transparent and say that just because you are monetizing your blog doesn't mean it is a "Get rich" fast idea. It takes a lot of time and effort so we did not want to mislead anyone and I may or may not have gone off about passion. The passion for blogging no matter how many followers you have or how much money you make. I have passion for blogging and passion to help other bloggers along the way. It is why I do what I do. You know it is more than a hobby when you can't go a day without thinking about your blog or doing it. Sharing with you is my passion and I know Cathy Feels the same way!     B4FP 002: Time saving resources for bloggers

    We recently had a chat with Denise from Denise Designed.   We got more technical so I called in Kyle to join the podcast. Denise had so many resources to share with us and so many great ideas! We enjoyed learning from her. She shared some time saving resources as well as her mobile app that she created for her blog.     B4FP 001: Experiences of a new blogger

    I had the opportunity to chat with Robbin from A Little of This and That, about the challenges that new bloggers face. She tells us how she navigates through the challenges and what resources help her the most. She mentions getting WordPress help and how other bloggers have helped her.
