Divisional Playoff Weekend: Final Four Is Set, Brees Could Retire, Deshaun Watson | NFL Deep Dive

The Brady-Brees matchup didn't live up to the hype—unless you wanted to see to 40-something men struggle badly, in which case it very much did live up to the hype. But in the end, the Bucs D took the game into its own hands, and Devin White flashed some nifty ball-carrying skills as the Bucs earned a trip to Lambeau. Jenny and Gary also discuss...
*After a scary head injury for Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs use some Henne heroics to hold off the Browns.
*A look at the Deshaun Watson trade market, as the star QB looks poised to demand a trade out of Houston
*The Bills and Ravens offenses struggled through the wind, the importance of running after you intercept the ball, and why Saturday wasn't a referendum on the Ravens' offense, but did show they need help on the outside.
*Matt LaFleur gets the better of old man McVay, as the Packers are the one offense this weekend that seemed to be operating at peak efficiency.
*We also have fantasy football talk with Michael Fabiano, Brandon Staley lands with the Chargers, Super Bowl "picks" and much more.

Wild-Card Weekend Recap: Browns and Bills Break Curses, Lamar Takes the Narrative Head-On, Vrabel and Tomlin Go Safe | NFL Deep Dive

A weekend in which the Browns and Bills won postseason games but the apocalypse did not arrive is a pretty good weekend. On the Monday Morning NFL Podcast, Jenny Vrentas and Gary Gramling discussed...
*The stunning start for the Browns in Pittsburgh, and also how Cleveland stayed the aggressor when Mike Tomlin decided to play it safe in the middle of the Steelers' comeback attempt.
*The Saints cruised past Chicago, but what to make of the Bears-Trubisky marriage after the offense was scaled back for the past two games? (And what to make of the Nickelodeon broadcast?)
*More than a few unfair Lamar Jackson narratives died on Sunday, as he finally won a playoff game... three days after his 24th birthday. And Mike Vrabel makes a bad decision to punt an opportunity away, and another bad decision in criticizing the officials afterward.
*The Bucs O-line more than held up in Washington, allowing Tom Brady to put up another big game. Though Taylor Heinicke, in a losing effort, stole the show in the Football Team's loss.
*Brandon Staley showed why he's considered one of football's most promising young coaches, as his Rams defense dominated in Seattle, even after losing Aaron Donald late in the third quarter. What it means to teach the game so well, what's left of the banged-up Rams as they get ready to go to Green Bay, and what's ahead for a Seahawks offense still searching for an identity.
*Frank Reich and the Colts had the perfect approach to beating the Bills, but ultimately they couldn't overcome Josh Allen and a series of bad breaks for Indy. In defense of Reich, who delivered one of the weekend's best coaching performances, and the excitement over the coming Josh Allen-Lamar Jackson matchup.

Stop TALKING! You sniveling trolls

Stop using your platform as a soapbox for players regarding performance incentives. Your message is a cancer for your listeners that have nothing better to do but regurgitate this vitriol without taking a second to consider how insanely pathetic and nearsighted is your message. Have you completely lost your flipping mind and absolutely all perspective on reality? These are grown men not toddlers. Get over yourselves. incentives for production in addition to a top level salary and industry leading benefits is great for everyone. I assume most self respecting adults and the UNION the players ALL belong too feel the same way.

Trash trash trash

Fire Andy Benoit and keep the rhythm guy/question/host role and fill it w trash people who can’t offer half the analysis?????? Who is making decisions. You replace Gary, not Andy. Andy just needs a facilitator, which is easy. I liked Gary but this is awful, the folks you are replacing him with. Unsubscribed and deleted. This is going to kill SI. So sad. Y’all will continue to lose more and podcasts are the future so good job capsizing. I’ll start buying as many cover issues as I can bc in 20 years, SI is gone. UPDATE: Jenny is trash lol I don’t care about anything she has to say ever
