Best Show's back with a bang! This week we have our STRANGE FRIEND FUNDRAISER TELETHON! Strange Friend is Tom Scharpling and Julia Vickerman's dream, a rescue dog cafe in downtown LA. And tonight we had a rager in the studio to help drive donations to get it going! Featuring performances from Chaki The Funk Wizard and friends! Plus, friend of the show JOE PERA comes in live in studio and chats with Tom! They discuss (what else) dogs, Joe's comedy style, Buffalo and more! Click this link to donate to the Strange Friend Kickstarter! Plus, Tom and Brett Davis pay tribute wrestler and friend of the show JEFF CANNONBALL, who passed away recently. If you want to support Jeff's family, please visit here. (Note: The livestream of this episode featured live performances from the Bob Baker Marionette Company, plus the magician duo Cosmic Romantics, live in the Best Show Theater! These performances didn't really translate to the audio experience, so we didn't include them here. So if you want to see them, support the Best Show on Patreon for full video episodes, and check out the Best Show Youtube channel for clips from tonight's telethon!) SUPPORT THE BEST SHOW ON PATREON! Dear Tom,

The Knicks don’t think you are in a position to critique basketball so frequently and with such vigor. Stick with Sonic Youth and Pere Ubu. Keep hoops to the philistines, chubby-lisped-art god. Take care.

Beyond words love the show. Is there a patreon where JW bits are searchable or separated from the rest of the show? Or have they released a best of? Love Tom’s guests and topics but I can’t get enough of that JW.

KLG = Hi

Love love love this podcast. There’s not many like it. It’s the best. Hence, the name. Obviously. There’s not many podcasts that give you Tom Scharpling, the amazing guest, incredible music acts, the live chat, weird calls from John Wurster, and Mushroom Mike… also much love to AP Mike, Bayonne NJ’s answer to Joey Swole. So many in jokes, so many rants… the Best. Give yourself a few eps to get in the rhythm. You’ll love it.
