This podcast is very informative and entertaining for anyone thinking about seeing or moving to another country! The hosts may focus on China, but anyone interested in traveling to a new country will find this podcast very useful. Definitely recommend!

I recently found this podcast and have been binging all the episodes. Holly and Nora are knowledgeable, entertaining and down to earth. They cover a wide variety of topics and blend data with personal experience in a fun way. They have inspired me to make my way to China when things open up again. Love the show and hope you are able to produce podcasts more regularly soon!

I thought this was a really interesting podcast at first but they repeatedly insult Chinese men based on their size downstairs and it’s really hurtful and hard to listen to at this point. I know the podcast isn’t meant to be “politically correct,” but when you do this type of thing over and over, it gets old. It’s not just insulting to the men they are talking about, but to all men. You can’t just body shame people, it’s not right.

I’m a Chinese living in the U.S., and I miss China a lot. I love listening to your podcast because it makes me feel connected to life back home. Thank you so much for so many great episodes!

I am glad to hear new content coming through again. Also, I want to say that the episode about the coronavirus has the best sound quality I have heard, thanks to the new microphones. Thanks for helping me feel less lonely in China and helping me to appreciate all the beautiful things about Chinese culture through my western eyes. This is a great example of why podcasts were invented in my opinion.

Thanks for the great show! I am preparing to move to China for a masters program and this podcast has been such a fun way to learn a little from a western perspective. Hopefully I will have a little less culture shock after listening to your new experiences.

I know this pod cast is for western people who want to learn Chinese and know more about China, but as a Chinese, I found this series a very good learning material for learning English.. This is especially so if you are preparing for TOFLE or IELTS speaking test. There are so many things in China that we don't know how to describe to western people, such as bike sharing, KTV, etc. But Holly and Nora can describe them perfectly. You can also learn how they express their feelings towards things in China. I'm not gonna evaluate how good their Chinese is. But what I know for sure is, there English is really good lol. And you can improve your English skills a LOT through this podcast, just like I did. Anyway, thanks for this excellent podcast.
