I really appreciate the approach and willingness to experiment with form. We definitely need more of that in podcasting. That said. I don’t really think there’s enough of a narrative anchor to the show to keep it interesting for a full 45 minutes. The staged couple dialogue is naturalistic enough but doesn’t really hold my attention all the way through, and I don’t really know enough about the characters to really care about them. The input from interviewees isn’t particularly interesting, I found myself zoning out and struggling to pay attention. Overall, I appreciate the idea but I think the meandering topical conversations aren’t strong enough to carry the whole show. It has potential if they can refine the structure and execution more.
