A good concept on informing people on some of the topics for those who are visually impaired. I find their choice of topics wide ranging, but they just do not delve into details on any topic. Their segments are very brief and could do a better job answering questions.
Example: They had a topic on how Braille is cool. However, they seem to assume all of their listeners know Braille. They could have informed people on resources that would help people learn Braille. I am visually impaired and living in WI and it would have been nice to have some insight on how to learn Braille and where! This is more pertanent information that Danielle's Braille tattoos. I had to ask myself is this show to tell us about Danielle abilities being blind or to inform blind people of available resources/tips that could help them live a better life.
For a such a short podcast, they seem to do a ton of plugs. You get them at the before, during and at the end of the podcast. I'm not sure why they need sponsorship for such a small production. There are tons of podcast out there that run 2 hours of video content and they do not seem to require sponsors. I think a single spot for a sponsor plug would be appropriate.
Also, it would be better if they had the sighted guy removed from the conversation. I think it would be better served having 2 visually impaired professionals having a dialogue instead. The sighted co-host seems to dominate the podcast and really does not provide a value to me as a visually impaired person.
A good concept and I hope they put more effort, energy, and information going forward with this podcasts. This could really benefit the blind community! Keep up the work Blind Living Radio!
