All lesbian sci-fi all the time

Dude who picked the stories? Like maybe one or two but it’s like 80% lesbian love stories.....umm ok. The one I thought was the boringest turned out to be my favorite about the AI on the hurricane island. The dancer one was ok too could have done without her forlornness though. Overall 3/5 would have been 4 if not for the recurring lesbian theme, I mean what about other lgbt people, or like any dudes?

J. Van Alstyne ,

Right on the nose.

When I think of a better world, I think of a place with more diversity, more freedom of expression, more hope. If you’ve ever watched Black Mirror and though, “Gee, I wish there was a happy version of this,” you’ll enjoy Better Worlds. Some of the vignettes have some semi-dark elements to them, but never get so dark that they will leave you feeling crushed... at least if you listen until the very end. Perfect to listen to on a train ride to work. I always walk into the office with a little extra pep in my step after listening to this podcast.

Even still ,

Misnomer

Misnomer. I was listening to Better Worlds with the hopes that it would embody some symbolic gesture towards positive science fiction...instead I get less than 5 minutes in Skin City and have to listen to yet another diatribe following terms to justify delusional states of experience...“cisgender”? Seriously? I like sci-fi as an escape from the nauseating madness of the massively confused and entitled, delusional extremes of those that lack personal accountability. The Verge appears to be trying to hard to pander...however given actual approval numbers of the current political climate I’m happy to hope they will continue to fade into obscurity as people educate themselves and seek distance from the plague that is leftist media and thought.
