Took me awhile to adapt my listening to the host’s unique voice, but now I always appreciate the extensive background he presents for each episode. I like most of the old time shows I get to listen to here with just a couple of exceptions, but that’s my personal taste and has with nothing to do with the host!

While I enjoy the content of this podcast I spend more time using the fast forward button to avoid the “host” (tormentor would be a better word.) seems to consider himself an expert on old time radio shows and while some of the information he shares is interesting. His voice is so annoying I literally start cringing every time he starts speaking and I quickly fast forward to avoid the long winded commentary at the beginning and end of each podcast so all in all I would give a five star rating for the content but a two star rating for the host so I averaged it out to three stars

I really enjoy Dragnet, Johnny Dollar, Broadway is My Beat, and, sometimes,The Big Story. Unfortunately, the sound quality of The Saint and Counterspy is so poor they are unlistenable in my car for my morning commute. They are muffled with almost no presence, like the sound is being filtered through a pillow. My humble suggestion: use an equalizer to cut the 400 Hz band by 6 db and boost a frequency of around 2 kHz by 3 to 6 db so the dialog can be understood. My high frequency hearing is excellent, so I know it’s not me. If the sound quality for all episodes were listenable, I’d gladly become a Patreon.

I thank you for putting the show together. I know you can’t help it, but your voice is highly irritating. Couple that with the long winded unnecessary analysis and I am fast forwarding through most of your show. Nonetheless, I think you’re a great person for pod casting this collection. I wish you would limit you you’re talking. The Bethenny Frankel ad is also extremely annoying.
