Alright, I realize that I am a full decade behind. I have been a podcast fan since they started basically and have followed this one and Naked Mormonism for years but only just started listening to the latter recently. Then I got to the episode where you were featured on there and plugged this show. I went and listened and have been binging since. I’m at episode 18 now. Here’s the clincher, after hearing your begging for reviews, on top of every single podcaster’s ln every podcast I’ve ever listened to, THIS IS MY VERY FIRST AND ONLY REVIEW! In a decade almost of daily podcast listening, YOU finally got me. I’m an Exmo and had to read the BOM daily my whole life and never understood a word of it. When I heard you would be interpreting it and in a funny, nevermo way, I knew that I really would understand the book for the first time in 36 years! Instead of using it to put myself to sleep every night in my childhood as I did. My eyes would start to cross and it was like it was in a foreign language. Well, LOVE the pod. BUT, one major reason I also needed to speak up was to retroactively be at least one person speaking up for those who don’t like the drinking game. For several reasons but primarily, we’re bringing more attention and more repetitiveness to what already was repetitive and annoying on it’s own. If I’m lucky enough to not notice the 10,000th “and it came to pass”, let me take that as a win. Don’t add an additional repetitive phrase on top! There. So, we’ll have to see if my review in 2025 will effect a podcast recorded in 2014. Time travel be with me!
