    As the final Sunday of the year fades into twilight, it carries with it a weight that feels heavy for many—a mix of reflection, regret, relief, and even anticipation.     3922 God's Presence Among Us

    Every so often, a story comes along that changes everything—then turns right around and changes your life. The birth of Jesus is one of those stories. But far from being a quaint holiday tradition or a distant fairy tale, this is the moment God interrupted history to say, "I'm with you." For centuries, prophets declared this truth. Now, it's no longer about pages of ancient text—it's about the real, raw presence of God in your life today; God's presence among us. This isn't a story you watch from the sidelines. It's an invitation to step into the heart of a divine plan that includes you. The story of Jesus' birth isn't just a cozy holiday scene or a fairy tale—it is history written in prophecy centuries before it came to pass. Isaiah spoke over 7 centuries before Jesus was born: "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light" (Isaiah 9:2). God was announcing a hope deep in the world's shadow, a light no darkness can overcome. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? He foretold the miraculous sign: "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" — which means "God with us" (Isaiah 7:14). Micah pinpointed the place: a humble town called Bethlehem, "whose origins are from of old, from ancient times" (Micah 5:2). The birthplace of the King who rewrites history. This story carries immense significance—and it now includes you. For you to be you, you're a miracle. A 1 in 400,000,000,000,000 miracle. This is the odds that you even exist. But you do because God is writing the story. God isn't an untouchable deity watching as a spectator. He is the Creator who chose to enter our messy world as a vulnerable infant, born among shepherds and outsiders in a barn. This wasn't just an event at a moment in history. It is God stepping directly into human chaos, pain, and hope. The K.I.S.S. ~ God's presence among us! Too often, we treat this as a story to admire from afar—too miraculous, too good to be real. But what if it's not? What if this tiny babe actually is the Savior come to stand with you? To be Immanuel—God with us—not just then, but now. LUKE 2:1-20 2 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. 8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 "Glory to God in the highest heaven,     and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." 15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. Every day, life throws fear, loneliness, and doubts our way. Yet Advent invites us to live knowing God's presence is not distant but immediate. This truth demands everything from us: surrender fear for trust, despair for hope, apathy for bold action. This Christmas, don't just admire the nativity scene. Step into the story God is still writing. Let that presence close the gap between your doubts and faith. Walk forward with the undeniable truth: you are not alone—God is with you.     3920 Find Joy When Life Feels Messy

    Christmas Eve is nearly here, and for many of us, the holiday season carries a mixed bag of emotions. The bright lights and festive songs promise joy, but behind the scenes, life might feel messy, exhausting, and overwhelming. When weariness weighs down your mind, body, and spirit, it's natural to default to the easiest option—often kind of numb survival that distances you from what really matters. Yet, you can still find joy when life feels messy. You get out of life what you put into it. When you choose to lean into the beauty amid the chaos, you reclaim the heart of Christmas—the reason for the season itself. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com The Bible reminds us in Galatians 6:9, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." That "harvest" is the joy and peace that come from holding steady through life's storms. But what if you're too tired to keep going? What if the mess is drowning out the music and dimming the lights? It's okay to acknowledge that struggle. Faith isn't about perfection or having it all together. It's about choosing to see the blessings even when life's mess tries to convince you otherwise. Psalm 34:18 offers this comfort: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." You don't have to buy into the chaos. The mess is real, but it's not the whole story. The heart of Christmas is about hope, love, and a promise made thousands of years ago—a promise that life can be renewed, that light can break through darkness. The K.I.S.S. ~ Find joy when life feels messy! Remember the story of Jesus's birth. It unfolded not in a palace but in a humble stable, surrounded by the noise and disorder of everyday life. Even there, in the middle of the mess, God's greatest gift was given. That's not a coincidence. It shows us that joy is possible no matter the circumstances. If you're struggling this season, consider this your invitation to be a living legacy, to breathe hope into your days. Romans 15:13 says, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." It may feel hard to believe right now, but joy is not reserved for perfect moments. It's for the tired, the worn-out, the overwhelmed. It is there waiting to be claimed. So this Christmas Eve, as the world rushes and your energy wanes, choose to fix your eyes on the blessings rather than the mess. Celebrate the small victories: a kind word, a shared smile, a moment of peace.  The season isn't just about decorations or presents—it's a chance to step into the enduring joy that outshines any difficulty. Your effort to embrace this season's true meaning is the seed you plant now for a harvest of lasting hope. You've got what it takes to carry that light this year and into the new year. How do you still make an impact, even in the chaos? Here's the truth: You don't have to lose who you are this Christmas just because the world feels wild. Impact isn't about changing the whole planet in one swipe. It's about doing what matters most in the circles you touch — your family, friends, neighbors, church, colleagues, and community. You are meant for more. But you must be willing to find harmony in the spinning. The K.I.S.S. ~ Find harmony in the spinning! The craziness and chaos do not stop just because you wish them to. It requires you to find a way to slow down so you spin your wheels less. Here are three powerful ways to see straight when the world feels dizzy—and to let your light shine steadily, no matter the season. 1. Take Control of Your Mindset, Even if You Can't Control the World Chaos and noise outside don't have to dictate your inner world. You always control your attitude and your choices—those are your real superpowers. Paul nailed it in Philippians 4:8: "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." Make your mind a fortress of hope and gratitude, especially when everything seems upside down. Example: Start each morning by listing three things you're grateful for. This simple act re-centers your focus and sets the tone for the day, no matter how out of control the world gets. 2. Simplify Your Holidays to Highlight What Truly Matters The holidays don't need to be a never-ending checklist of parties, gifts, and stress. Too often, we lose sight of the core of the season: connection, generosity, and reflection. What feeds your soul? You don't want to leave out the most important things. So stop overlooking what you value during this holiday season. Put what feeds your soul at the top of the list. The rest? Cut loose. Example: Pick two or three traditions that bring real joy and let the rest go. Maybe it's a quiet family dinner, a volunteer day, singing Christmas carols, reading the Bible, or just giving yourself time to unplug. When you strip away the excess, the good stuff shines brighter. 3. Make Small Acts of Love Your Holiday Impact You don't have to fix the vast swirling problems of the world. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
