Well it has taken a few years but I have listened to all 441 episodes of the cleverly titled The Phil Ferguson Show. It has certainly changed my views on financial advice for the better and reinforced my views on atheism. As far as financial advice, it has truly been enlightening. The amount of scams and bad advice that Phil exposes is staggering. I have changed my 401k based on his advice and on the books he recommends. Still slowly going through Bogle’s Advice on Mutual Funds. My understanding of financial terms was about zero when I started listening. I think I could hold my own now.
I would like to thank Phil personally for all the work he puts into the episodes whether it is on electric cars, home repair issues, loans, pools, church budgets, savings, estates or the many great interviews over the years. I have even had the opportunity to help my father with his retirement fund and lose his horrible financial advisor, who also charged 2% AUM. I would love to shake his hand someday at a convention if I can make it to one and buys him a drink. I contribute to the Arkansas Society of Freethinker in part because of Phil’s advocacy of humanist and atheist groups.
So thank you Phil!!!!
