    Beek on being RAISED ON RUTHI’S RULES

    The mother of all mothers is here! She’s loud, opinionated, shot out of a cannon in the morning, drinks her Red Bull and tackles the world. Growing up she had inappropriate carpool conversations, quizzed our friends, and gave unsolicited advice on everything. Won’t touch a vegetable, is “allergic” to fruit, and gives no apologies.  Nothing has changed. She has no edit button, no filter and says it as she sees it. There is no one tougher you’d want on your side, even when she laughs at you! Though she states she has none, she most definitely has a set of laws my sisters and I call Ruthi’s Rules. Today we will share her pearls of wisdom, at least the ones we can share on camera!! 🤣🤣

    Beek on being a HOLISTIC HEALER

    We are the sum of every experience, every memory, our interpretations of those memories, our environment, and our relationships. Our health and well being is comprised of it all. When we talk about healing we need to address the entirety of a person not just one aspect. Mind, body and spirit are interconnected and finding balance is key.     Beek on being BESTIES

    Friendships are lifetime loves. The community you count on, the ones you turn to, outside of romantic relationships or family. Friendships are critical to your wellbeing. Friends are your emotional support, your course correctors, they help you grow and thrive. There is nothing more critical than the importance of friends when it comes to living a long healthy life. This podcast was inspired by my daughters and their friend groups that I have watched develop over the decades. I am in awe of their dynamic and the unconditional love they give to each other. For a Galentine’s gift we have Mollie Dixie Beek and Remi Bella Beek to discuss the importance of friendships. This is Beek on being BESTIES.

    Beek on being BREAST AWARE

    As we go through the different stages of life our breasts change. It is important continue screening, diagnostic and self exams. It is important to know what is normal for your breasts and when that changes. Education information and awareness are key for prevention and early detection. Today we have two exceptional specialists, Board Certified Breast Surgical Oncologist Dr. Starr Mautner, from the Breast Center at Miami Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida and Board Certified Breast Radiologist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology Breast Imaging, Dr. Katharine Lampen-Sachar from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center to tell us everything we need to know!
