Episode #12 | UK Drill Flow | DMX vs Snoop #Verzuz, No Kanye? Album + New Music from J. Cole, Logic, Curren$y, Lupe and more

Back on our dolo grind, this week it was all about the DMX vs Snoop Dogg #Verzuz battle. Arguably the most entertaining head-to-head since Beanie Man vs Bounty Killer, the two top dogs, in what appeared to be an extremely lopsided battle on paper, went at it in a phenomenal display of legends showing love while celebrating their respective catalogues. Incredible stuff. Once we got through the play-by-play of the battle, we spoke about the Kanye West situation (no album, Kim breakup?), and caught up with new music from J. Episode #189: Top 10 Breweries In Ontario For 2024 | Adjunct Series

We say this every time, but this annual episode is easily our favourite to consider and to film. Reflecting on the past year in craft beer in Ontario is always rewarding as we recall some of our favourite podcasts, brewery visits, beers and moments, and 2024 was a truly phenomenal year. While we had some closures, overall the level of quality and competition was the hottest to date, and putting together our collective Top 10 Ontario breweries was incredibly difficult. As with the Top 10 Quebec Breweries episode, we implemented a new point system where we actually put them in order from 1-10 and allocated 10 points for #1, 9 points for #2 and so on. Episode #73: Quarantine Edition | Magic Elixir with Chris Smith & Robby Willey of Virginia Beer Co. | Adjunct Series

It's been quite the run for the live Quarantine Edition of our ongoing Adjunct Series, and tonight, we wrapped it up with a bang. Longtime followers would know that our trip to Virginia in 2019 was a memorable one, where we travelled for a week from the northern part of the state all the way down to Virginia Beach, and we truly loved our experience. One thing we've been missing during the pandemic is those fire Virginia beers, so we were stoked to hang out with the boys behind Virginia Beer Co. Based in Williamsburg, VA, Robby Willey and Chris Smith opened Virginia Beer Co. back in March of 2016, and they recently celebrated their 5th anniversary. This episode was special for a few reasons - not only was it the wrap-up for the Quarantine Edition, but at midnight it was Chris's birthday, and the Montreal Canadiens won their series against Las Vegas to enter the NHL finals for the Stanley Cup in the middle of the episode, so there were a lot of fireworks, chanting and honking. The fellas chatted about their beginnings in craft beer, the trials and tribulations of finding their location, their approach to the beers they brew, Chris's brother's illustrious NHL career, Team Money vs Team Funny, and a ton more.
