His House

Sadie Harris

His House is a podcast for mothers in the thick of real life — the loud, lived-in, beautiful-mess years. It’s a space to breathe, to feel grounded again, and to remember that these ordinary days are more sacred than they seem and that this phase isn't a pause from connecting with Jesus but an invitation to be closer to Him than ever before. If you’re longing for awe, purpose, and a deeper sense of spirituality in your everyday rhythms… welcome to His House, where motherhood meets Jesus.

When Easter Becomes Real with Katie Gallardo

This week, I sit down to talk with Katie Gallardo about Easter and how it has become real to her over the past year. A year ago, Katie was a healthy mom of two little boys, living in San Francisco and filling her days with the beautiful chaos of motherhood. Today, she is a cancer survivor and a below-the-knee amputee after being diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma jsut days before Easter. In this conversation, Katie shares what it looked like to walk through diagnosis, chemotherapy, and amputation—all while raising young children—and how her relationship with Jesus Christ deepened. We talk about the questions that come when life doesn’t go the way you planned, what it means to worship God through pain, and how to notice the small miracles when you’re still waiting for the big ones. Because this episode is centered on Easter, we spend time talking about the Resurrection—not just as a doctrine, but as something deeply personal. What does it mean that Christ overcame death when you’ve had to face it so closely? How does “He lives” change when it becomes real in your own life? If you are in a season that feels heavy or uncertain, I hope this conversation helps you feel a little less alone—and reminds you that Christ is present in all of it. And for those listening who aren't in the middle of a trying season, I hope this makes Easter feel a little bit more real. Happy Easter! To follow Katie's journey, you can find her on Instagram.
