
Abdul Karim Yahya
Abdul Karim Yahya is an American Islamic scholar, teacher, and community leader based in Michigan. He is the founder and director of Dar al-Rahma, a mosque and learning center focused on traditional Islamic learning and personal growth. His clear and relatable teaching style has earned him respect across North America. He grew up in Berkeley, California, and accepted Islam in 1989. Shortly after, he began studying Islam in Damascus. He later continued his education in Tarim, Yemen, where he trained under scholars at Dar al-Mustafa, including Habib Umar bin Hafiz. His studies included Arabic, Hadith, Shafi‘i Fiqh, Aqidah, and the life of the Prophet. He earned formal teaching licenses in several Islamic sciences. For over twenty years, Abdul Karim Yahya has taught students throughout the United States. He works closely with institutions like Al-Maqasid, Dar al-Mustafa USA, and the Ribat Institute. Through these platforms, he teaches courses on Islamic law, spiritual development, prophetic character, and the 99 Names of Allah. He regularly speaks at retreats, conferences, and community events. He focuses on helping Muslims strengthen their connection to faith and live with sincerity. His teaching emphasizes love for the Prophet Muhammad, strong family values, and service to others. Through his leadership and mentorship, he continues to nurture growth rooted in the Islamic tradition.
