Israel is engaged in a military operation in Gaza to defeat Hamas terrorists while minimizing harm to civilians. Hamas is holding hostages and using them as human shields and has rejected Israel's offer to disarm. Israeli police special units rescued hostages from a densely populated area with armed militants, highlighting their bravery. Hamas plans to repeat a massacre and supports the release of its members in exchange for Israeli hostages.
