When we recorded, the internet had largely decided GLP-1 agonists were terrible: muscle wasting, "Ozempic face," suicidality, and more. Tyna's take was very different, and much of what she discussed has held up surprisingly well. Not everything, though. The big Alzheimer's trials found that GLP-1 treatment did not significantly slow disease progression. I was the guinea pig for this one. The week before our interview, I injected one-tenth of the standard semaglutide dose, and Dr. Moore told me on air that even that was far too much for me. She was right.
