    The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Heist

    In the early hours of March 18, 1990, two men dressed as police officers arrived at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, Massachusetts. After convincing the security guards to let them inside, the men restrained the guards and spent the next 81 minutes moving through the museum. By the time they left, the thieves had stolen 13 works of art worth $500 million. They disappeared without a trace, and more than 36 years later, none of the stolen artwork has been recovered, leaving investigators searching for answers in what remains the largest property crime in United States history.     Barbara Bolick | The Woman Who Disappeared in Just 45 Seconds

    On July 18, 2007, 55-year-old Barbara Bolick set out on a hike to her favorite overlook in Montana's Bitterroot National Forest with a family friend. It was a trail she knew by heart and had hiked countless times before. But during the hike, Barbara disappeared without a trace. According to the only witness, she was just 20 to 30 feet behind him when he turned away for less than a minute. When he looked back, she was gone. Despite extensive searches, investigators found no sign of Barbara, no evidence of what happened, and no clear answers. More than 19 years later, her disappearance remains one of Montana's most baffling unsolved mysteries.     Elisa Roberson | She Walked Out the Door... Then Vanished

    On August 6, 1989, 13-year-old Elisa Roberson left her home in Aransas Pass, Texas, to meet a friend at a nearby elementary school. It was a walk she had made before and should have taken only a few minutes. But Elisa never arrived, prompting her family to report her missing that night. A wide-scale search began the following morning, and bloodhounds tracked Elisa's scent to a nearby intersection, where it abruptly ended, leading investigators to believe she had been abducted. The crime scene was so horrific that local investigators immediately called in the State Bureau of Investigation. But despite decades of investigation and DNA left behind by the killer, no suspect has ever been identified, leaving whoever murdered Jaye free nearly 40 years later...     Captain Michael O’Mara | The Mysterious Death of a Decorated Officer

But, she never returned home, prompting her husband to report her missing. An extensive search of the mountains failed to uncover a single trace of her, aside from her vehicle. And as the investigation unfolded, suspicion fell on Amy’s husband, while other investigators later focused on a suspected serial killer...
