The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Heist

In the early hours of March 18, 1990, two men dressed as police officers arrived at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, Massachusetts. After convincing the security guards to let them inside, the men restrained the guards and spent the next 81 minutes moving through the museum. By the time they left, the thieves had stolen 13 works of art worth $500 million. They disappeared without a trace, and more than 36 years later, none of the stolen artwork has been recovered, leaving investigators searching for answers in what remains the largest property crime in United States history. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s security director at 617-278-5114 or reward@gardnermuseum.org. Confidentiality is assured and a $10 million reward is available.  Editor: Shannon KeirceResearch/Writing: Haley Gray SUBMIT A CASE HERE: Cases@DetectivePerspectivePod.com SOCIALInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/detperspective/Twitter: https://twitter.com/detperspectiveFIND DERRICK HERETwitter: https://twitter.com/DerrickLInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/DerrickLevasseurFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/DerrickVLevasseurCRIME WEEKLY AND COFFEECriminal Coffee Company: https://www.CriminalCoffeeCo.comCrime Weekly:  https://crimeweeklypodcast.com/shopADS: https://www.Square.com/Go/Detective - Build a setup that grows WITH your business! https://www.ForHers.com/Detective - Ready to reach your goals? Barbara Bolick | The Woman Who Disappeared in Just 45 Seconds

On July 18, 2007, 55-year-old Barbara Bolick set out on a hike to her favorite overlook in Montana's Bitterroot National Forest with a family friend. It was a trail she knew by heart and had hiked countless times before. But during the hike, Barbara disappeared without a trace. According to the only witness, she was just 20 to 30 feet behind him when he turned away for less than a minute. When he looked back, she was gone. Despite extensive searches, investigators found no sign of Barbara, no evidence of what happened, and no clear answers. More than 19 years later, her disappearance remains one of Montana's most baffling unsolved mysteries. If you have any information, please contact the Montana Missing Persons Clearinghouse, (406) 444-2800. Captain Michael O’Mara | The Mysterious Death of a Decorated Officer

On the evening of May 30, 1988, 48-year-old Police Captain Michael O'Mara left home to run a few errands. He never made it home. That night, another officer found Mike dead in a grassy area outside the county courthouse. Within hours, investigators declared he had taken his own life. But Mike's family and friends refused to believe it. They feared he had been murdered, possibly by another officer or by the mafia.  Despite those concerns, more than 38 years later, Mike's manner of death remains undetermined, and one question still remains: What really happened to Captain Michael O'Mara? If you have information in this case, you can contact the Cook County Sheriff’s Police at 708-865-4700.
