Gotta Go

Briony and Molly Benjamin

Sisters, Molly and Briony Benjamin, try to sit down for a quick catch-up before one of them has Gotta Go. It’s a show for people who are juggling family, work, relationships, and the never-ending to-do list that lives rent-free in your brain. Maybe you’ve got kids at home, maybe they’re older, maybe you’re in that glorious in-between where you can finally drink a hot coffee… but you’re still the one who knows where everything is, when everything is, and why everyone is late. Alongside the laughs, there’s a quiet (but very real) thread running through everything we talk about: how to live a little lighter on the planet without turning your life into a constant guilt trip. We’re looking at practical, everyday choices. The kind that save you money, save you time, and just happen to be better for the environment too. No preaching. No perfection. Just “here’s what we’re trying, here’s what worked, and here’s what made the internet angry.” You’ll also pick up genuinely useful advice; money wins, life-admin systems, and simple habits that make the week feel less expensive and less chaotic. Mostly, you’ll leave entertained and weirdly motivated to do one small helpful thing: renegotiate a bill, cancel a rogue subscription, set up a system that shares the mental load, or make one change that’s good for your household and the climate. Come for the laughs, stay for the occasional rant and know that in not too long, one of us has Gotta Go deal with small children.

Single Sisters Betrayal, Home Battery Flexing and Press Stud Rage

One of us had a sudden, humbling realisation this week… and it involved babies, friendship, and a very overdue apology. The other one had a few thoughts about what new parents actually need from you (hint: it’s not another tiny outfit with 400 press stud buttons). One of us is still grieving a certain era we were meant to have… which was rudely sabotaged by the other. Briony pointed out that Aussies will renounce their stance on renewables if there are rebates up for grabs. Molly appreciated the ego boost when AI thought she was Reese Witherspoon. We time-travelled back to our trip to China, where we nearly got trafficked or cast in a powdered milk ad…the details are still unclear. We covered a lot of ground this week, but now we’ve Gotta Go. Or even only reducing our own dependence through the introduction of electric vehicles and so on and so forth.” Briony’s Go To Pump Up Music for sad days https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1mhhfWQXeXjZR06nLxUCV6?si=deffdb62e1264cd5 Join us: Instagram: @gotta.go.pod TikTok: @gotta.go.pod

  2. Drive Through Everything, Free Money Apps and Pumpkin Pollination

Drive Through Everything, Free Money Apps and Pumpkin Pollination

One of us turned 40 this week… and had big feelings about what a privilege it is. The other one is still in newborn land, where time isn’t real, and sleep is a rumour. Molly is campaigning for drive-through everything, because getting eggs shouldn’t require a full logistical plan. We shared a celebrity encounter from the archives that still makes us cringe-laugh, and Briony used an accent Molly will never let her forget. Briony proved that, even though she’s terrible at accents, she has a lot of useful information about the current state of the world and why we shouldn’t be cooking with gas. Briony also had a bit of a sex education lesson, but not in the way you’d expect. Molly wants millions of men castrated…well, not really. But it’s pretty bleak. As always, it was a fun time but not a long time catching up. And now we’ve Gotta Go! 3. Anne Geddes Vibes, Taco Structural Integrity, and a Five-Minute Childcare Fix

    22 APR

Anne Geddes Vibes, Taco Structural Integrity, and a Five-Minute Childcare Fix

One of us discovered that a cute outfit can genuinely improve your mood (science says yes, and so do strangers who suddenly start complimenting you in the supermarket). The other one has started carrying watercolours everywhere and whipping them out at random intervals. One of us did an outrageously extra newborn photoshoot. Shout out to Anne Geddes (IYKYK) Scheduling joy is saving us from the monotonous existence that is parenting young children. We’ve got a list of good news stories to cleanse your doom-scrolling soul. Pandas are involved. One of us goes on a warranted and passionate rant about beer drinkers and why they’re paying more tax than the gas industry. We both casually fixed childcare in about five minutes. You’re welcome. There’s also a Mexican food hack that will change your life (we’re talking structural integrity AND crunch). Loads happening this week, but now we’ve Gotta Go! See you next week.
