Happily Murrayed

Cutdown & The Murrays

Happily Murrayed is us - Conor and Joanna - chatting about our lives, our relationship, and everything that comes with it. From big life moments to the everyday chaos in between, we share the stuff that’s going on with us, the things we disagree on, and the moments that probably should’ve stayed private. We’re figuring things out as we go - balancing life with baby Alfie, building a home, busy work lives, and trying to keep some sense of normality along the way. It doesn’t always go to plan. This is a podcast about relationships - the good bits, the messy bits, and the moments that nearly break you. We don’t always remember things the same way, we don’t always agree, and we definitely don’t have all the answers… but we’ll give it a go. Each week, we also hear from you - your questions, your stories, your dilemmas - and react in the only way we know how: honestly, and usually with a bit of slagging. If you’re here for the chaos, relationship honesty, or just to feel a bit better about how you’re doing it, you’re in the right place. Our September Life Audit: Are We Actually Doing OK?

September feels like a fresh start — so Conor and Jo are giving their lives a full audit. This week, they score themselves across four areas: Body, Mind, Home Life and Soul — and work out what actually needs to change. Things get slightly uncomfortable when they compare their phone screen time and discover Jo spent an average of 7 hours and 6 minutes a day on her phone the previous week, including nearly 14 hours on TikTok. 😳 Is it officially intervention time? They also get honest about how becoming parents has affected their relationship, why date nights and cooking together have disappeared, getting stronger and healthier, being more present around Alfie and the changes they want to make throughout September. Plus, Conor plans a mystery trip for Jo, there's an update from the house build, Jo wonders whether The Weeknd was harvesting her energy, and Conor reveals the one date he apparently cannot remember. 🎃 Join in with the Happily Murrayed September Reset and let us know what you're changing this month. What Does Your Partner Do That Drives You Mad?

This week, Conor reports back from Ibiza, including party naps, questionable dancing and casually finding himself beside Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Meanwhile, Jo heads to London, does some serious damage at Bicester Village and finally lands a Topshop job years after repeatedly being turned down by them. We also launch Murray v Cooper — our new quiz designed to find out whether either of them can actually back up the things they confidently talk about every week. First up: Conor on pensions and Jo on the Rules of the Road. 🚗 Then it's over to the Murray Mailbag: "I love my partner, but I'll never understand why they..." Dishwashers. Chewing. Whistling. Being late. Toilet habits. Leaving doors open. Clothing tags. And yes, several immediate calls for divorce. Let us know the completely irrational thing your partner does that drives you mad. Should Couples Have Their Own Money?

A missing diamond, secret runaway funds and one question that seriously divided the Murray household: should couples have their own money? This week, Jo reveals the panic of realising the diamond had disappeared from her ring mid-flight to Mallorca — and the small matter of whether Conor had actually insured it. 👀 Then it's over to the Murray Mailbag, where things get surprisingly heated. Should married couples combine everything? Should you always have money that's completely your own? If one partner earns more, should they have more spending money? And is keeping an emergency "runaway fund" just sensible? Plus, your answers to the most ridiculous thing your partner has ever spent money on — featuring unused golf memberships, Star Wars helmets, pedigree sheep, €100 worth of coffee beans for someone without a coffee machine… and a €7,000 watch. Elsewhere, Conor prepares for Ibiza with the best of intentions, Jo survives the Dublin Horse Show, and we discover an entirely new world of tiny horses.
