World Corrupt Episodes

interesting, very true that FIFA is a shambles and needs an overall. However to be running a podcast to be critical at this very late stage I agree be critical about FIFA but 12 years too late but let the matches take place and keep everything else out of it. The last thing that the managers and players want to be distracted by the “treatment of migrant workers”.
Your figures about deaths are extremely misleading and as you said on the broadcast that reason for 70% of the deaths are unknown, so you have successfully shot in yourselves in the foot. I spent that last 14 years in a senior position on the Expressway program and I am well aware of the figures for work related deaths and the efforts made month on month to improve health and safety and the quality of the workers food and accommodation. Your statements about summer working are also incorrect as not being properly monitored- totally incorrect, anyone visiting the sites would indicate how it is applied. There is a mandatory break for summer working in the hottest part of the day and is strictly applied. Over the last two years on many days, work was often stopped at 9.30am and workers were taken back to their camps.
Once again, having a campaign so close to the World Cup is totally crazy timing, let the football take place away from politics and correct the wrongs afterwards. FIFA and others has the opportunity to review the decision made in the first place.
Pathetic attack on Qatar and no a mention of the wonderful Stadiums and excellent road and rail network. A better presentation should have been made with actual figures that could have been seen first hand. Yes improvements were initially needed and that took place and needs to continue.
No mention of the crooked agents who supplied the migrant workers.
Stick to doing the marvelous podcasts on other topics

Regards

Tony
